This is so helpful! I've watched a few goddess locs tutorial and this is by far one of the best. You didn't add glue or burn the strand to help secure the ends. I'm going to try to do this myself. Thank you! Fantastic!
Loved this! Between you and BeautyCanBraid, I believe I can do this without traveling across state to Philly or out of state somewhere else. Not too many braiders/stylists in my area gave me the warm fuzzies that it would turn out natural-looking like yours. Great video!
I love it... I have to tip my hat to girls like you and all the others girls who know so much about hair.... I can even do a 2 stranded twist. Nice job.
Beautiful!! I just started the crochet goddess locs and I like them alot. But I love yours I am going to install those next month. Great tutorial girl!!
great job!! but the curl refinery hair is synthetic fiber blend. it is not 100% human. you can get the same hair from the beauty supply store for three times less. it's a shame that if you can't tell the difference you will get ripped off.
How many braids are in, cause I HATE bulky hair and is there any particular part patterns I should be using, you have the perfect amount in your hair thanks 1Luv.💋
thank you so much for the tutorial I have ran across a few good tutorials but for some reason this one it's definitely the one that I'm going to be trying absolutely beautiful
Are you finding your Goddess Locs itchy and heavy? I've seen a lot of tutorials saying how itchy they scalp became and how heavy they are. I don't know if it's because of the hair they've used (mostly synthetic). Btw you did a really good job.
Hello dear lady! I just order my silver package of hair from them, you lit a fire under me to try this look on my self! I'm a hairdresser, with some braiding experience, usual box braids or simple cornrows. Wish me luck!
Hi, i'm about to purchase this gold package and im stuck deciding whether or not i should get the fluffed or unfluffed hair. On the website it says that the fluffed is easier to use, but i see that you used the fluffed. Do you think it would be okay for a beginner to use the fluffed hair?
but how many bundles of each hair did you order and what were the names of the textures again? i was looking for them in the info bar and couldnt find them😩
Hi! here is the link to the package I purchased thecurlrefinery.com/products/goddess-locs-hair-package it has 2 bundles of 18" 2 bundles of 20" and 2 bundles of 22". and 4 bundles of the afro twist hair (i got mine fluffed) I'm not sure if the coupon code STYLINGMYMANE still works but its worth a shot. Hope this helps!
I need you to come to the Dominican Republic for the love of God!! Come on vacation or something and make some time for me jeje I am dying to get this. I've watched some tutorials but this is my fav so far. Awesome!
I have really long hair *waist length* do I HAVE to add more hair at the ends to do this style also how would I uninstall if I didn't add more hair? TIA for any tips / advice
CaliMomX3 I definitelt dont recommend leaving your real hair out on the ends, because then it wouldn't be much of a protective style anymore. But in the event that you didnt add hair i would say when you unravel it, twist in the opposite direction and when you see the difference between your hair and the wrap hair, cut it. then it will unravel. hope this helps!
they werent heavy but i dont remember how many locs i did. maybe 60ish. and i dont like washing my hair in protective styles, it sometimes get matted together
These look great! I am using the curl refinerys gold package and keep ending up with a bunch of the wrapping hair on the end. Mine are shorter (on purpose). I wanted them to be shoulder length so I pretty much started the goddess hair shortly after my root, but now I'm having to cut a bunch of the Afro hair off at the end and pieces are sticking out from where I cut it. Any advice?
i had a client where the afro hair was sliding down from the root. did you do the crochet method? i would try to re wrap them again (on top of the old one) and place glue periodically throughout the braid. nothing crazy tho. hope this helps!
Thanks Alexa, I will consider this. I did the crochet method which is working fine, it's securing the ends I'm having trouble with. So far I've been thinning it out when I get to the end with a razor and wrapping it back upwards to secure it. I'm just a little concerned about when I go on vacation but we'll see! I'm hesitant about the glue because my locs are shorter and my hair is almost the same length, but I'll definitely consider that, nothing crazy like you said. Appreciate your response! I'm already dreading taking them out if you have any advice or can do a video on that :)
I think i'll be taking them out next weekend so i think i'll do a video! Also if the ends are till fuzzy you may be able to burn them slightly. Hope they hold on for your vacay!
thank you! and yeah there are definitely more cost effective ways to achieve this style. im extra tho so i buy stuff i shouldnt be all the time smh lol
Yay I live in the south as well :) I only have snapchat but would love for u to do my hair. Been wanting this style for a while now. Any other way I could contact u beside ig or Facebook?
Also i do recommend adding the loose/wavy braid hair because it gives the goddess loc look. if you dont you will just end up with regular faux locs. leaving your realy hair out at the end wouldnt make this a good protective style either
I know you probably have other things to do....but can you watch beautycanbraid techniques and tell me if you think that will work or if I should still buy some hair to add
Hello nice job thank you for sharing I dm u on instagram could u check it please. Again this helps because the package Dr khari suggest is like 450 oh my. And then she charge 500 or more to do it I heard, Lord that's just too crazy.
This is so helpful! I've watched a few goddess locs tutorial and this is by far one of the best. You didn't add glue or burn the strand to help secure the ends. I'm going to try to do this myself. Thank you! Fantastic!
Brianna Pitts thank you !! im glad you liked it!

thank you!! 😊😊
pleease! I need to know what lipstick that is!!! Love the tutorial. definitely getting goddess locs.
aahh i cant remember. it is either teeny tiny or tulle by color pop, ultra matte
Beautiful!! I just started the crochet goddess locs and I like them alot. But I love yours I am going to install those next month. Great tutorial girl!!
Thank you so much for this video. I will be doing my own in a few weeks. This is the best tutorial and easiest for me. Thank you Thank you!
IRisha Mooring im so glad you find it helpful! i hope your install goes great 😊
great job!! but the curl refinery hair is synthetic fiber blend. it is not 100% human. you can get the same hair from the beauty supply store for three times less. it's a shame that if you can't tell the difference you will get ripped off.
yes girl. they tryna take our money. I'll buy some weft blend hair and cut them off the track before I order $100 worth of blend weave.
yeah i know, its a blend which i still think is better than the hair you can purchase at the bss. thanks for watching!
Ol Scott e
Ol Scott hey so if I want the human look do I still use Marley and order the human hair from the site
U got got on that hair blended or not
You've inspired me to do them! I just washed my hair... is it necessary for me to wash the weave too?
Renae Nolan i didnt and i didnt have any issues
How many braids are in, cause I HATE bulky hair and is there any particular part patterns I should be using, you have the perfect amount in your hair thanks 1Luv.💋
Carmen J i forgot to count how many there were 😢 but they were bigger in the back so id say no more than about 50 maybe
thank you so much for the tutorial I have ran across a few good tutorials but for some reason this one it's definitely the one that I'm going to be trying absolutely beautiful
I'm glad this tutorial helped! I'll be posting a take down video soon! :)
Renee Williams
imthatninjalexa ❤️
Wonderful job! How many locs are in your head?
i didnt count before i took them out 😔 probably about 50ish
Are they easy to remove and how long do they last. Thanx looks great
Are you finding your Goddess Locs itchy and heavy? I've seen a lot of tutorials saying how itchy they scalp became and how heavy they are. I don't know if it's because of the hair they've used (mostly synthetic). Btw you did a really good job.
thank you!! they arent heavy (unless i were to put it all in a bun) but they are definitely itchy. my scalp is fine but its itchy on my neck and skin.
Ok thank you for your response!
Hello dear lady! I just order my silver package of hair from them, you lit a fire under me to try this look on my self! I'm a hairdresser, with some braiding experience, usual box braids or simple cornrows. Wish me luck!
oh im excited for you!! once you get the hang of it, it gets really easy and you will pick up speed. good luck! let me know how it turns out! 😊
Your hair looks amazing. Can you tell me where I can find Dr Carrie tutorial please?

*the unfluffed is easier to use
C.A Dobson i found the fluffed to be easier to use, that's all ive ever used. i don't think youll have issues with it
but how many bundles of each hair did you order and what were the names of the textures again? i was looking for them in the info bar and couldnt find them😩

Can you link exactly what you used and how much
Are these heavy? Are they easy to wash? I do jiu jitsu and looking for a new protective style and I swear alot.
Also how many braids did you end up doing?
they werent heavy but i dont remember how many locs i did. maybe 60ish. and i dont like washing my hair in protective styles, it sometimes get matted together
So helpful thank you! Def will use this method
whats the length of the hairs that you purchased?
Love these. Just paid a bunch of money for this process... mine feel stiff... any tips on softening?
mousse or conditioning braid spray may help. also try wrapping in a loose bun at night, that may encourage it to loosen up a bit
These look great! I am using the curl refinerys gold package and keep ending up with a bunch of the wrapping hair on the end. Mine are shorter (on purpose). Would it be best for me to redo my 2 week old individual mini braids before attempting this style because I’ve washed them and its frizzy?
IRisha Mooring if theyre mini you may be wrapping them all day lol. but its up to you
imthatninjalexa lol yea I know it’s gonna take a while but I’ll spread it out over a 3 day period
Gorgeous! Simply gorgeous.
Great Job Lex #EeYip randomly landed on you boo
hey soRhor! thanks for watching 😊😊💙💛
so can you use the same hair you loc with to braid too under the loc
Ashley Ridgeway yeah you can, but it wont looks the same
How do you wrap your hair at night with the goddesses locks?
Jacquelyn Clark i would just put them in a bonnet
Love it! Thanks SO MUCH for sharing...Gonna Try...
Thanks! Hope this video helps!
What was the brand of the hair and how many packs would i need to buy all together
Nicole Wallace i got the hair from thecurlrefinery.com its the gold goddess locs package
Okay thank u could i find the hair cheaper the same brand.
What type of hair did you use again for the braiding?
Dion Smith it came with the package i purchased from the curl refinery but you can use bulk crochet hair too
Thank you. I have them now and I used the Marley and Freetress. Next time I think I'm only using a lighter hair..
Do you think you could grow dreadlocks this way?
MsMya1 you can! you just have to use human hair
Did you use all the hair in the entire package you ordered?
Wavyfrizz i used about 3/4 of the wavy braid hair and less than half of the fluffed afro twist hair
Alexa Rae how did you later the hair. Which length did you do 1st.
I love your hair.!
thank you!!! 😊😊😊
so if you don't add the hair.....it will just be short?
OMG..those look Amazing..and you actually dolook like a friend of mine..
why did you add the braiding hair mid way as opposed to attach at the root ?
metuber33 attaching it further down thr braid allows it to be longer
metuber33 also it allows for less tension
I love your tutorial!!! What is your location??? I would love to get some Goddess Locs
thank you! i live in atlanta
Are they heavy? I have goddess locs with all Marley hair and it is heavy.
Crystal Hopkins this brand of hair wasn't heavy at all! but they unraveled quickly. i found that the marley hair lasts much longer
from where did you get that needle thing you used?
winta gebru the crochet needle came with the hair package i purchased but you can get them for a dollar at the beauty supply store as well.
do you ever travel up to nh or know any friends here that know how
Missy Wall I dont :/ i definitely recommend trying different hashtags on instagram to find a stylist in your area
Were they stiff when you finished ?
not really. just sort of tight at the roots
What kind of braiding did u use fir the curly end
Really nice💛💛💛
thank you!! 😊😊
You are most welcome.
They look outstanding
thank you!!
Those look bomb af but I just did mine and only spent $40.....
thank you! and yeah there are definitely more cost effective ways to achieve this style. im extra tho so i buy stuff i shouldnt be all the time smh lol

Yay I live in the south as well :) I only have snapchat but would love for u to do my hair. Been wanting this style for a while now. Any other way I could contact u beside ig or Facebook?
Sierra Young email works! araemoore2010@gmail.com
how did you do the back.....did you just feel it or did you use a mirror?
Kiki Jackson I just felt around but they came out bigger that way and not as neat. I made it smaller on top tho to make it look more full
I am going to do mine this weekend and that was a concern. Your hair still came out nice. How long did it take you?
Kiki Jackson it took about 7 hrs, no stops
Also i do recommend adding the loose/wavy braid hair because it gives the goddess loc look. if you dont you will just end up with regular faux locs. leaving your realy hair out at the end wouldnt make this a good protective style either
I know you probably have other things to do....but can you watch beautycanbraid techniques and tell me if you think that will work or if I should still buy some hair to add
