these are the best I've seen hands down. I didn't want to spend money on human hair. I did the same thing. I went to her website. it was like 450 for the package. chow please. the way my account is set up. lol I also seen the bulky uniform look and I didn't like it, so I really think I'll take a chance and use the silkier hair. thanks. this is the exact method I've been looking for.
This is the best version of the goddess locs I've seen. I had soooo many compliments when I had mine in. looking at yours makes me want to reinstall them again.
Yaaaaaaaaasssss!! 1. You did such an amazing job. You look like you went to Dr. Kari's salon to get your hair done. 2. Good on you for doing your research on the hair to really mirror the look that Dr. Kari produces for celebrities and clients of her salon. I've wanted Goddess Locs for the longest and have been searching UA-cam for months for someone who actually achieved the look as it is trademarked. As much as I want to support such as an amazing black female entrepreneur, at the moment, I do not have the coin to invest in her hair and video tutorial. In short, thank you. You've helped me figure out how I can DIY the look on a budget. P.S. To any interested: I bought some kanekalon braiding hair and curled it with perm rods and then it in hot water to curl and 'kinkify' the hair. When stretched and separated, kanekalon now really mimics marley. It's extra work but, hey, trying to save money.
I love the results of your goddess locs. I also thought of just buying bundled hair from aliexpress, but thanks to your tutorial I can use the synthetic hair to save money, but still receive great results. And I've seen others crochet the wrapping hair which can help for slipping.
Love this style on you. Yesssss. I need to get this hair off my bucket list lol. Next time you do this style can you do a tutorial ? This is by far one of the best videos on you tube and I've done my research. Keep up the amazing work . Stay blessed
I'd say you definitely nailed this style! They look almost exactly like Meagan God's. I just had faux locs for a little over a month and I took them out about 2 weeks ago. they were so cute and I went for the goddess local style as well. I definitely agree with you... I don't like the structured look either. I also had some braided short and some braided long. they definitely did look more natural. I will say I wish I didn't use the Marley hair to wrap it, only because it was a little bit on the heavier side. I didn't have any issues with it being bulky because I made my braids small so I wouldn't have that issue lol. I ish I use the hair you used to wrap because it turned out so cute. However Great job girl... they look amazing
This is just what I wanted. Your hair is gorgeous. I tried explaining this technique to my stylist who insisted on Marley hair. But I truly agree about that undesired bulky look...
I'm so sick, these are beautiful on you love! I've been looking at this style for awhile now and this is the freaking best mimicked looked compared to real expensive ones. I think I'm going to do it finally
To everyone curious about what brand of hair I used, I experimented with a a bunch of brands and different textures. That's why I chose to focused more on the type of texture I used versus brand in the video. However, I did update the description box with some of the hair I purchased from Samsbeauty. Hopefully that helps some of you all's questions!
+Senora Maestrah it's a little bit of both lol. Using the softer texture of hair to wrap, makes the locs look shiner than using Marley hair. And I also used oil to moisturize my real hair.
To everyone curious about my lipgloss lol ❗️ Liner: NYX - Espresso Lipgloss: NYX Xtreme Shine - Natural + Brilliant Effects Lipgloss (I have no idea what the actual color is, because it's a random off brand I stumbled upon at CVS lol)
Aside from Meagan good's these are the best I've seen thus far. They look so natural, they're the perfect size & not bulky or heavy looking at all. I'm tempted to get these done for vacation but I'm scared they won't come out this way & I'm so particular/picky about how I want my hair to look lol
Wow! Your so pretty... That's the only reason I'm here watching this video up to 7:25 then I had enough but I would to see you in the natural look with out all the make up that probably just enhanced your natural beauty but I love what I see. .👍👍👍
Loved your hair. I use the softer texture hair for any braids I do. The Marley hair breaks my natural hair, it's so coarse. I haven't done goddess locs yet and I want to so bad. After seeing yours I'm gonna put them in. I'm a new subie. Thanks for sharing.
How many packs did you use of each ? I think I'm going to try braiding with some marley hair mix with the other hair (stopping before I get to the end part) then maybe the wrapping hair won't slip. What do you think ??
I agree, can you please show us how you do at least one. You hair is by far the closet to Meghan Good's as I have seen. I look at the roots, and yours look so natural like it is coming from your scalp. Please show us how you did this in at least one or two locs
I honestly did the same technique that everyone uses lol. I think the type of hair used really makes a difference in how the locs look. But I will try to film a mini tutorial when I get a chance. Thank you for watching!
This is an amazing job you did! The hair looks great. My only question is HOW MANY LOCS ARE IN YOUR HEAD? You have a perfect count where it is not too thick and not too thin! Awesome work!!!
+Snatched By Sharmel yes I've been treading the idea of doing this style for over a year and you are sooooo convincing me. Don't take them out! So many styles can be achieved lol
I am in love with this technique!! Are these heavy? I have marley wrapping & it's bulky like you said. can you explain or do a video on how you blended the the marley with the Caribbean hair? and the type of marley brand?? I've noticed that the type of marley brand makes a difference. also how you seal the ends?...new subie!!! :)
This weren't heavy at all! I just uploaded a part 2 for this video answering these questions and doing a mini tutorial. The link is in the description box and thanks for watching! 😊
I wish you would of told us how to achieve the style. Steps or something. It looks gorgeous. I have no idea how I should braid my hair or install the hair.
You have some of the BEST looking goddess locs I have seen so far!!! they are beautiful. Can I ask what the exact hair you used to wrap around the braid the first time? Not the marley hair.
Lillian Edeoghon DON'T use kanekalon. I repeat DON'T use kanekalon. I used the freetress curly textured hair for both braiding and wrapping and it came out Beautiful on 3 occasions. then I used kanekalon and it was a hot mess! the hair slipped constantly and it matted up (not in a good way).
I love this look on you. The locs are soft, not bulky and not uniform. PERFECT.
these are the best I've seen hands down.

Thank you for explaining the non uniformity of the look, I couldn't figure out what I hated about some people's locs and you hit it on the nail!
Yaaaaaaaaasssss!!

Your Goddess Locs is the best I've seen yet. They're beautiful.
best faux locs I've seen so far 👌
I love the results of your goddess locs. I also thought of just buying bundled hair from aliexpress, but thanks to your tutorial I can use the synthetic hair to save money, but still receive great results. And I've seen others crochet the wrapping hair which can help for slipping.
I love these!! ....By you not using the marley hair made a REALLY big difference, by far the best goddess locs I've seen! I will try myself
Love this style on you. Yesssss. I need to get this hair off my bucket list lol. Next time you do this style can you do a tutorial ? This is by far one of the best videos on you tube and I've done my research. Keep up the amazing work . Stay blessed
This is by far the best one I've seen! It looks beautiful I keep looking at it I can't wait to do mine next month. X
The best set I've seen since Megan's !
I'd say you definitely nailed this style! They look almost exactly like Meagan God's. Oh and your locks are beautiful
This looks beautiful on you.. I’ll definitely be trying this style on myself.. Thank you for sharing..
You so pretty and your hair is nice.
this is the best ive seen hands down..im definitely doing mine like this
Mix the Marley with the kinky curly about a 20/80 mix and it will give the look with better hold. Trust, you won't be disappointed!
XiulanArisu more of the kinky or more of the Marley?
This is just what I wanted. Your hair is gorgeous. I tried explaining this technique to my stylist who insisted on Marley hair. But I truly agree about that undesired bulky look...
I'm so sick, these are beautiful on you love! I've been looking at this style for awhile now and this is the freaking best mimicked looked compared to real expensive ones. I think I'm going to do it finally
thinking of getting these & yr video was very helpful...esp with the hair textures! And they look absolutely gorgeous on you! 👌🏾👌🏾
To everyone curious about what brand of hair I used, I experimented with a a bunch of brands and different textures. That's why I chose to focused more on the type of texture I used versus brand in the video. However, I did update the description box with some of the hair I purchased from Samsbeauty. Do you do other people hair?
I notice a pleasant shine on the hair, is that something you added on the hair like an oil or moisturizer or is that the shine from the hair itself?
+Senora Maestrah it's a little bit of both lol. Using the softer texture of hair to wrap, makes the locs look shiner than using Marley hair. And I also used oil to moisturize my real hair.

You did an amazing job!!!! You always SLAY everything you do!!💜💜💜
Thank you so much!
Dang it girl! Your hair is one of the most beautiful I have seen! I wish you had been able to do a video to see exactly how you did it. ❤ 😍

Very beautiful!! Looks like a good style to wear on vacation or something
You're so pretty! You did a great job!
To everyone curious about my lipgloss lol ❗️
Liner: NYX - Espresso
Lipgloss: NYX Xtreme Shine - Natural + Brilliant Effects Lipgloss (I have no idea what the actual color is, because it's a random off brand I stumbled upon at CVS lol)
Snatched By Sharmel I was just about to comment on how pretty your makeup was 🙂... and girl your locs are gorgeous!
These are SO gorgeous, I'm definitely going to install some using this method.
You have the best Faux Locs video! You're hair resembles the Lisa Bonet and Meagan Good style everyone is trying to copy.
You did THAT!!! Your locs are beautiful!!! Great job!
Aside from Meagan good's these are the best I've seen thus far. They look so natural, they're the perfect size & not bulky or heavy looking at all. I'm tempted to get these done for vacation but I'm scared they won't come out this way & I'm so particular/picky about how I want my hair to look lol
You are gorgeous! I've been wanting to get my hair done like this for a while. Love it!

Love this style! I'm about to try it myself but I want the color to be ombre...pray for my patience lol
How many packs did you use of each ? I think I'm going to try braiding with some marley hair mix with the other hair (stopping before I get to the end part) then maybe the wrapping hair won't slip. What do you think ??

Looks like a bohemian braid to me. Hth
Thank you! And I just updated the description box with some of the hair I used.

hi. your hair is lovely. can kanekalon hair give me this look? thanks
Lillian Edeoghon DON'T use kanekalon. I repeat DON'T use kanekalon. I used the freetress curly textured hair for both braiding and wrapping and it came out Beautiful on 3 occasions. then I used kanekalon and it was a hot mess! the hair slipped constantly and it matted up (not in a good way).
how many locs would you say were in your head? 80?
I love that your is not shiny and looks very VERY natural
Are you in Houston TX?
