Titans Stadium Construction timelapse

- For the time-lapse showing the construction of the Tennessee Titans stadium (1997-1999) the Electric Picture Company crew decided to shoot with 16mm film and an intervalometer powered by a car battery. They built a weatherproof box for the shots inside the stadium to house the system components. One of the main drawbacks of a film system is that it meant periodically the exposed film had to be retrieved from the camera and new unexposed film loaded. I assisted in the film unloading/loading process that sometimes required us to be harnessed in because the camera was in a hard to reach location with construction going on all around. I did some of the editing work on the project as well.
Can't believe it's already getting replaced. Weird that stadiums built in the internet era with timelapse footage like this, which seems so modern still, are already aging out
Whats crazy is how the area around the stadium looks now in the 2020s compared to the late 90s
Always love football stadium construction.
Watching this as I’m visiting Nashville for the first time in 2024 and a new stadium is going up.
Titanup this is incredible
That's crazy about the Tornado hitting the stadium. Had no idea it did that back then... wow
My dad was an electrical engineer during this build... now I'm a fabrication engineer on the new stadium 😁
That's awesome! Gonna be a sad day when they destroy the old one. 😞
Wonderful! And I do hate to see the old stadium go. But the new one will be great, too.
I don't know if the uploader intended this, but the video and music are perfectly synched from 0:45 to 1:01
Looks like the Titans will need a new stadium w/retractable roof in the future. Not only it will be a great benefit for Titans but Nashville area, also.
and be able to host a superbowl
@@mrtmfarr Not only super bowl but national title game for football and final four
Coming soon 🫡
Yah, nobody wants to be outdoors anymore!
@@davidjaerobins4180 it will be built in 2027
Looks way much better now after the renovation with the seats, stores, concession stands, etc.
Belessimo estádio, um time tão lindo merece
sniff....I love this team like Tanya Tucker loves landscaping.
Another Titans are gonna get a new stadium so
Now, they need to do that with the Titans.
The Oilers have come a long way
It's a good stadium to go to watch a football game in
jasonstamper1 I'm a die hard cowboys fan here in Tennessee. but still gotta rep the titans.
Especially when the Texans come in and put a whopping on em.
@@akahaney1 this comment did not age well
That was probably pretty convenient they could unload everything off ships and barges
2019?
@@AlanORher nope 2021
I’m not a fan of NFL teams always wanting new stadiums when some colleges that have way more fans have stadiums over 100 years old that still do just fine. Also what o don’t understand is Nissan Stadium hold right at 70,000 and the new 2.2 billion dollar stadium will only seat 60,000. To my knowledge the Titans have sold out every home game since they move to Tennessee and now they’re telling 10,000 sorry about your luck to home and watch.
Yeah. That aggravates me, too. Ridiculous, imo.
Jvna im with you
And now they apparently need a new stadium the bills current stadium actually did what stadium are supposed to do and that’s the last 40 to 50 years before they need to get replaced when the bills current Highmark stadium closes after the 25/26 season it’ll be 53 years old when the Titans current stadium closes it’s only gonna be 28 years old
It needs a renovation now or a new stadium.
2.1 billion dollar dome just got approved
I was at that stadium on sep 23 2017
Cracuh Chap what game was it
Looks like my high school football stadium.
Yeah man. I'm sure you're high school stadium sits almost 70,000 and has luxury sky boxes
can you the same music Like this one but heinz field get build
I wonder if Bud Adams got a chance to graze on his football field before he passed away here in Houston?
I just wish the stadium faced the river instead of being parallel
Maybe it's less windy ..
2019
I meant 24
Astrodome was better than that dump!
As a football fan I agree because the astrodome had a roof so it doesn’t irritate the people inside the stadium in Houston also it’s a landmark and also saved people from hurricane Katrina in 2005
Pode dizer assim eu uso poderes do mundo para fazer os estádios principalmente no Brasil
Every new football venue must have a roof -dummys
Tenha minha inteligência ultra pra construir os estádios amém na bíblia
