- The stadium’s design represents the gahfiya - a traditional woven cap worn by men and boys across the Middle East. The gahfiya forms a fundamental layer of the traditional clothing of the region. It is also a symbol of dignity and independence.
During the timelapse recording, which lasted from mid of 2017 to late 2021, we were supported on site by our partner in Qatar, Eclick Multimedia Solutions.

The government of qatar awarded the stadium contracts to a number of international contractors from Italy like Salini Impregilo Group and Cimolai, Tekfen from Turkey , six construct from Belgium L&T from India and from china , Korea and supervised by the likes of AECOM from USA and designed by the likes of Norman Foster . Once contacts are awarded the contractors becomes responsible for site safety. Amnesty international and the ignorant people should take their fight for migrants works right with the EU and US companies . After all it’s these mega international companies who brought them and signed labour contracts with them and housed them and should have trained them and implemented tough safety regulations. Criticism to Qatar is easy but if they criticise the big construction companies then they will be sued in courts . The number of deaths on World Cup related facilities is inflated to shock . If the numbers are true then these international contractors with supposedly western values have fooled Qatar and discharged their liabilities and responsibilities towards their employees. The other possibility is that whatever your hear in the western media is a big lie.
