Can you help me with this question,,i put a non vgt turbo on my 6.0 ,do i have to program it to be non vgt,,i have 230/100 injectors 67m turbo,and a thumper2 oil pump,,for some reason it just cranks and cracks, i havent programmed it yet,,gonna do that tomorrow, i was just wondering shouldnt it start with the stock programming,,,and wondering if it being a non vgt have anything to do with it not starting,,thanks ,
If you just swapped the injectors then chances are the system isn’t primed yet. I haven’t heard of 230/100 injectors. Who makes those?

You know what's crazy man? I have a 06 lbz tuned deleted straight pipe lift pump dsp5 etc.. but after I did the 3 inch downpipe, y-bridge with the cold side charge pipe and up pipes with headers, it sounds just like a 6.0 to me. It's not exactly the same of course, but it's extremely similar. It's crazy how a couple engine mods, specifically the downpipe, can change the entire sound of a truck.
Can you run the stock charge pipes with the socal kit , I’m planning on running a 364.5 on stock fuel

How would a non-Vgt setup do for towing? I have a dually the same color as your f-250! I do tow my camper quite a bit.
pretty bad city driving or in traffic on the highway already rolling it does pretty well.... and it honestly depends on how big the turbo is i run a borg warner 366. makes a shitton of power top end above 1800 rpm....... if you go with a non vgt setup id highly recommend putting in a higher stall torque converter to really wake the truck up bigger turbo lower EGTs as well.. driving it you have to drive around the turbo but if you're towing generally you;re in tow haul mode already and your Revs are sitting around 2,000 RPM above 15 mph so you'll have boost almost on demand. going up gradiants and such itll handle it a bit better as the turbo peak boost is significantly higher than stock........ i also wouldnt run it if i were you without studded motor.....

If you have happy with the truck, that's all it matters. I personally would never buy another Ford, after learning hard way from two personal Ford trucks. But I enjoy Ford truck content.

Tyler’s Diesel Stop I’ve had some things come up and had to put my 6.0 on hold but I would like to put a stage 1 WYSE transmission in mine after reading up on them. Seems they have the best quality and since I drive from Charlotte to Sylva every other week I need a transmission that won’t leave me stranded.

Tyler’s Diesel Stop hell yeah, i have an off topic question for you though. How much a trans temp sensor cost to replace? My 5.4l f250s went out so i cant tell trans temp and its shifting hard then after a little stops but the cel light and tow haul keep flashing. It doesnt really effect much its just annoying

I know it's not as fun as hot rodding but did you guys have things you can do to just make the 6.4 really reliable? I've read that they have some major issues but I really like those trucks and am most likely picking one up this coming week.

It depends what your horsepower goals are honestly. There are literally tons of different turbo/injector combos

Wyatt Liverman If 6 is your number I would highly recommend 175/30 and a 364.5 or you could step up to a 190/75 setup and 369sxe like the red trucks current setup.

Wyatt Liverman I would recommend a S362 for that! You can always go bigger on the charger once you buy the T4 kit

Hey man quick question, im running a built powermax, and having 175/30 WDI injectors put in along with the supporting motor modifications, only thing i need to get next is a lift pump and regulated fuel return. I dont plan on running it hard or anything crazy but what tunes should i go with in the mean time? i figure ill order some custom ones and ask for the fuel to be turned down on one but the rest the fuel pressure set as if i were running the fuel modifications, just not use them until i have the parts installed, would that be a safe compromise?
Noah L A good general rule of thumb is you can always pull fuel but you can’t add more that what is physically allowed. If you’re on 175/30 those are going require custom tuning just to idle and operate correctly. Being as you got them from WDI I highly recommend getting ahold of Kyle for your tuning. I can assist you on this if you wish for me to do so. I highly recommend running warren tunes, that’s what I run and I’m always happy with them!
@@tylersdieselstop6787 thank you i really appreciate it! easily the most educated answer I've gotten from just asking around. I assume Kyle is the one that writes WDI tunes? Ive been thinking about ordering WDI or Blessed performance tunes, but WDI knows their injectors better than anybody else.

I do know the guys at Blessed Performance as well and they are an awesome crowd of people to work with as well.
