Sounds like a potential nightmare of a purchase! Fact that there is no service history, at least should have the first service done by the dealer and the badly neglected chain are a sign. I would change the drive and rear sprockets too. I agree with you on the SC crap bolted on. At least you do have a box load of the original bits you could put back on

So far, so good. A few jobs undertaken and the bike is riding like a dream!

Why do they call those plates 4D when they’re clearly 3D, as compared to 2D for regular plates?

You say there's no service history?
Aprilia don't give you a service book anymore so unless you got the receipt for the service you won't have a record but Aprilia logs all the service records on their system so just contact the dealership and they can confirm the service records for you.

I Iove mine (Tuono). Its completely stock apart from a bigger screen and levers. I'm not a fan of spending loads of money on it. Plus i love the look and sound of the original exhaust so definitely dont need to change that. First service interval after 600 is 6000.

Agreed. I liked the exhaust sound when I test rode the demo bike. You can actually hear the cool air box sound as well when the exhaust isn't too loud!

@@UpsideDownFork I also detest those stupid winglets that everyone seems to put on. Pointless additions which don't make it look any better either.

Service history is held by the aprilla dealer electronically you don't get a service book to stamp etc
I fitted the sc project crt and changed it in the end for the akrapovic in the end

Put stock cat back on! Why is the chain so bad after so few miles. Nice bike though

Someone has lost a lot of money on that. I had dreams of doing thousands of miles on my brand new Fazer about 20 years ago (divorce present to myself 😂) sold it about 5 years later as a bargain for someone else with about 2500 miles on it. It happens all the time. I guess it’s great for bargain hunters like myself. Have fun. I think the dream of spending long days in the saddle often don’t happen with work and general commitments in life.

1407 miles and the chains had it hmmm suspicious just how 🤷‍♂️

You don't think 1407 miles of total neglect by an amateur is possible to ruin a chain? 🤔
How often do you clean your chain?

I really like stock bikes. Nothing too extreme in case of modifications
