Love watching this process especially the unmoulding ( if that's a word 🤪) ... 😊

Unmolding is the best!!! So much fun, occasionally disappointing.

So cool especially the vase with the ripple effects. I’ve never heard of jesmonite nor seen the stickers you used. Your creations are definitely different in a great way!❤

I love experimenting with new materials! I'm so happy you like them! 😊 and I'm not surprised you haven't heard of it before. It is not very common in the US, which is why I linked to a couple of alternatives that are easy to get here.

Very fun! You mentioned that you will seal them. What do you use? What type of shows are you planning to go to? Will you share some pics of your set-up? Thanks for sharing these fun Christmas ideas!

There are a few different options for sealing Jesmonite. Wax based products work great, especially if you want them to be food contact safe. Any wax advertised to seal cutting boards would work. You can also use spray varnish. I'm doing a test today actually leaving half of a piece matt and spraying the other half with a gloss varnish to give a two-tone effect.
The shows I'm doing are "makers markets" and some other local pre holiday craft shows. I'll definitely post photos when I set up.

Very cool Taneva. I am not at all familiar with Jesmonite. Do you have links for the other molds that you used, including the candles? Also, please tell me about your drill with the beater attachment. Love these❤

Thank you! That is not surprising, it is not a common product here in the United States. I believe it is out of Australia or the UK. I'm only using it because I got lucky and was able to buy a large quantity from a busted pallet sale at Blick. I live close to their distribution center. That's why I added the Jesmonite alternatives that can easily be found on Amazon.
As for the molds, I purchased most of my molds off of Temu quite a while ago and many of those links are defunct now, so I found what looked to be alternatives on Amazon. I just updated the description with those. I also added links for some of the products that are still available on Temu. It does take a couple of weeks to get items from Temu, but I've never had an issue with receiving my items and or being able to return items that we weren't up to quality standards. If you just search silicone molds for epoxy resin on Temu there is quite a rabbit hole to go down… Lol

Thank you and what kind of drill are you using that has that beater or whisk attachment? Suggestions for an alternative mixer?

@@kathyz8203 here's the drill I keep in my studio. It's a super cheap one that I got specifically for that use. I keep my Dewalt away from epoxy. Lol

And the whiskey attachment was one I pulled out of my hand mixer from the kitchen. Just don't use it for food ever again 😆
This is a replacement whisk that would work too. amzn.to/4eDmK34
Alternatively, you can of course use a traditional manual hand whisk, or you could use an electric hand mixer from your kitchen, just make sure that you keep the attachments that you use for art completely separate than the attachments that you use for food preparation.

Thank you so much! You’ve been very helpful❤. Will have to check out that whiskey attachment😆
