Dusty was truly a British National Treasure...now she belongs to the entire world. Thank you Dusty, for the beauty of your voice, soul, and artistry. From an American kid of the sixties.
We can hear how she Dustified it. She didn't think this would ever be released as it was initially shelved, right? Dusty would have re-recorded bits of this to perfect it I think. It's still wonderful to hear her demo, her soulful take on this song. Don't think she would have approved of the release of this due to her having the highest of recording standards. It's still great.
Leon Russell's masterpiece. Love Dusty's voice. This would have been great, stripped down. I'm not big on the arrangement. My favorite version is done by the man that wrote this.
Pure brilliance, a voice captures you and takes you on a journey and you just want it to never end. Great voice and arrangement

yes, @Lori Romano - it was interesting to hear the pet shop boys saying she literally recorded each WORD separately! those were some high standards.
@@b.bailey8244 that's the legend of Dusty, but she recorded it in bits and pieces, not one word at a time (nothing has been proved)
beautiful version - and thanks for the lovely slide show of beautiful Dusty.
Dusty singing this song is like an orgasm for your ears. Just beautiful, her voice is perfect for this song.
