Terrible missed call
This season is worst in officiating by referee's, but this....this should be call 2min Hooking😁👏😡😤
He got hooked and then he got picked on the goal ... two terrible missed calls.
Best opinion I heard is that officials should have to do mandatory media every game just like everyone else so they can be held accountable
With the rise of sports betting, they should also be subject to public audits. If they want our trust, it should be their responsibility to prove that they are not wagering on these games.

And then the ref gives Johnny a misconduct for hurting his poor feelings. God forbid anyone say anything to the amazing, never-wrong, NHL offcials. He could have easily just skated off without even acknowledging Gaudreau but no, he had to rub salt on the wound and throw his power around a little more. These guys are such a joke. It's no wonder coaches are going off on them every chance they get. Every single one of them should be made to sit in front of the press core after each game and explain their calls. Maybe then some integrity to the game can be restored.
I didn’t see the hook at first, but Compher definitely had his stick up in Gaudreau’s hands just before he would have received the pass. Also, yeah, clear pick (interference) in Columbus’ zone too (although they don’t call that penalty very often). I’d be pissed if I was a Blue Jackets fan.

Tons of missed calls that coulda been called on cbj during the 2nd and 3rd, like the crosscheck on Raymond and interference during the 3rd, refs know they missed those

Two blatantly missed calls - first the hooking then the interference that is clear as day. How are there multiple refs assigned to this game and not a single one makes either of these calls?
Don’t see why he’d be complaining. It’s not like that call would ruin Columbus’ chance of making it into the playoffs.

A stick across the hands is a hook, whether there's an actual hooking motion or not.
On a different angle it shows Johnny go straight into seider… who was still… he picked himself
And the obvious hook on the break? I think that was the bigger point of contention. This video doesn't even mention the interference

That's why the NHL is the least watched out of the 4 big sports. Refs only make calls when they feel like it. They can be looking right at it, and they still wont make the call.
