Bad call. Ridiculous call. I have no skin in this game and I'm not at all a Devil fan, but that was a bad call. I don't believe the Devil player was the hitter. He didn't skate to make the hit. He skated to play the puck. He did play the puck. He was the last player to have possession. The other player skated face first into him. Sure, the Devil player tensed up as he saw him coming in and he might've even braced himself before contact, but the Devil wasn't the hitter. He was the puck carrier. When you see somebody coming at you, I'd wager the farm that you'd tense up too. Now, don't get confused and read things that aren't there. I'm not calling the other player the checker either. This was an unfortunate accident as a result of hockey being a fast and hard game. Bad call!!!

Between the announcers claiming to miss a blatant, Matt Cooke-style blindside hit to the head and hoping nobody saw it, the lack of response from the Sabres going after Noesen for it, amd the league not deciding to punish Noesen further, this is one of the most pathetic things I have ever seen in the sport.
