This is a awesome video, i resently got my first trygon kit and wanted to do something like this, the only thing that stoped me was how to do the jaws and head. Great job man plz post more in the future i would watch them all.
This is definitely one of the most game-changing conversions I'd be interested in trying out, just because the simple exchange of 30 matched play points for double the shots and a Synapse is ridiculously versatile. So good job mate, but I have a much simpler query in mind today: How would you go about changing between the flush Trygon chest piece, spined Mawloc chest piece and the fat boi adrenal gland? I'm working with a lot of Monster-heavy Behemoth list theories and swarmy lists that just drop like 20 'Gants in the backline to immediately skip to shooting, so it does matter. It's just so painfully awkward that it's a flush surface glued to another flush surface and the only in-between is a tiny ball socket. Would a magnet on the inside of the model's mould be strong enough? Would blu tack be clean enough? *Should I whip out the ol' countersink and stuff it with green? (probably not)*
Hi fella, glad you liked it. It's been a while since I did mine, so it depends how thick the chest plate is. If you can drill/cut a recess big enough it for a magnet then it will be fine, even if you have to drill through the chest of the main body and put a support the other side of the hole for a magnet. If not blue tac is the only option.
Cut of the knobule then drill a 1mm deep hole for the magnet to recess in, widen the hole on the chest and done. I've just done this to two of mine and it works a treat!
Vary nice. Im hoping to get one of these for Christmas, Im definitely gonna magnetize it now. Maybe try and find a bit smaller magnet though...at least for the tail anyway.
Great vid! Starting to find how to magnetise my whole army now! Will the superglue stick the the magnets without any green stuff between them? I've not used green stuff under some of mine now I'm concerned it will break off
Make sure that you clean the magnet with some alcohol and don't touch the surface with your hands after for the best effect. Any fat or skin oils will make any adhesion-type glue less effective. It could still be enough, but I had magnets coming off a couple of times when I skipped that step. Also always wash your hands with soap thoroughly right before you have a glue job to make it even cleaner. Try not to snack on KFC in the process ;)

Way to do this even cleaner is to drill small holes for magnets to reside in whenever possible. That way you don't need to shape greenstuff as much.
Yes, it's good to see the power of the small magnets getting better these days, I think N35 was the strongest small ones I could get back here

No problem dude, enjoy the magnets
whats the ' green stuff ' ?
George Savage hopefully you know now.
How common is it to need 1+ of each of the 3?
I assume not very which is why its useful to magnetise them?
I just like the option to play either unit
@IDICBeer im planning on getting one of each because they look cool but uour videos have always been useful and entertaining. All the best!
Thanks buddy, glad it was usefull, Nick :D
Awesome. Very helpful.

commander keeno Thanks, just super glue will be fine, the green stuff just makes it easier to put the magnets in ;-)

The Prime has Synapse, Containment Spines, Shadow in the Warp and can take Bio-Artefacts
***** I see. Thanks man.
PS: Do you do painting tutorials. I want to see a GOOD behemoth fleet tutorial.
