This was shot almost 3 years ago now but awesome little tutorial. When people say "double diffused" they explain it like some kind of physics voodoo magic. When in fact it's just pre-dispersing the light onto the diffusion material for an even spread. Great short tutorial, right to the point.
The light has dispersed more, spreading more evenly across her face, that's why it looks brighter, the actual footcandles are probably slightly reduced, but the contrast is also reduced

My God, double diffusion really makes that light soft...!
kind of wierd. . it is supposed to look darker when u apply double diffusion to the lighting source. however, it looks brighter
