  • Hurrem is in Ibrahim's Grave | Magnificent Century
"I OWE MY THANKS TO YOU" Magnificent Century Episode 134: • Magnificent Century Ep...
Winter begins on the Magnificent Century!
Nothing will be the same anymore!
Suleiman is getting ready to say good bye to Hürrem whom he has challenged the whole world for.
Mihrimah gets devasted when she finds out the truth about Hürrem. Selim and Bayezid arrives to the capital and truce with each other for Hürrem. Hürrem finds out about the secret that has been kept for years and she settles old scores with his mortal enemy İbrahim upon his grave.
Hürrem learns about Nurbanu's desire for the throne and orders for her to be killed. The construction of Süleymaniye Mosque which represents Suleiman's power gets complited. Everyone gets shocked about Hürrem's wish from Suleiman. Sultana Hürrem who has ruled the whole world welcomes the death in Suleiman's arms. As time stops in the palace, an eternal winter begins for Suleiman...
Suleiman gets aware that Hürrem whom he's the prisoner of her love for is close to death. Suleiman hides his sorrow and tries to make Hürrem happy. Hürrem's only wish is to see all her loved once coming together.
Bayezid returns to the palace and learns Defne has given birth. As Defne waits for the day she will be executed, Bayezid has to make a choice between his mercy and rage.
Selim can't shake off the shock but he feels peaceful with Nurbanu's arrival. Selim and Bayezid gets shocked by the news they reveived from Suleiman.
Selim and Bayezid truce with each other for Hürrem to feel peaceful. However, Hürrem is aware of there is a storm brewing up that will blow up in her absence. Make Rüstem swear to stop the war between her princes. However, it's not possible to not to bow to the inevitable.
Mihrimah gets devasted when she learns about her mother's illness and throw herself in Rüstem's arms but she gets devastated by Rüstem's reckless attitude. A surprising news makes everyone happy, especially Mihrimah and Rüstem.
Suleiman's heart Suleimaniye gets opened. Hürrem has one last wish from Suleiman. As Hürrem gasps her life out in Suleiman's arms, the life loses its meaning for Suleiman.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

Good observation but unfortunately Mahidervran was first on the seen and Ibrahim was committed to her and Mustafa's security. There is also another possibility which kept them from forming a bond, old fashioned sexual attraction. She didn't want him and he could never have her but never the less, the vibes were there.

What Hurrem is saying is exactly the fact. Both, gained power through Suleiman. While Hurrem Sultan was gaining power, she was still vigilant and aware of the limits of her power, Ibrahim was on a different side. He began to greed for power and was more daring to approach the fire (Suleiman) by calling himself as "Sultan Ibrahim" in front of the pasha and underestimating the power of the Sultan during a meeting with ambassadors from outside

    • @opheriayu
      @opheriayu Рік тому +13

Unfortunately that's not why and Hurrem Sultan would have been in her 50s, younger than Valide Hafsa Sultan. Meryem Urzeli was struggling in real life and needed to take the break.
Vahide then became the "older" Hurrem but now she looks older like Sultan Suleyman's older sister or even mother. Remember? Hurrem was younger than Mahidevran.
It's unfortunate but at least in these scenes they are nice, other scenes don't work well because of her age, the relationship between herself and Sultan Suleyman from her change seem more like a mother and son than a wife.
I like the actress though. I do wish Meryem stayed but her health and wellbeing had to take precedence over the series ❤️
I think Meryem would be able to pull off that soulful part because she was there through the death is the Pasha and had worked with him longer, I think it would have been more powerful. We see her change throughout the series as well, from her youthfulness to mothering and still the aching love she had for Suleyman that's now missing, etc... I think she'd pull it off no problems but I'm glad we had someone as talented as Vahide to fill in the space 🤗

Also episode 80 when Ibrahim thinks he has witness against Hurrem and that poor girl jumps from Veranda. Remember that iconic winning look Hurrem gives to lbrahim?
These two were equally MAJESTIC with their intelligence, boldness, ambitions, strategic thinking, both equally ruthless.
Both were slaves, both got power and status thanks to Suleiman. Hurrem was just slightly smarter than lbrahim, she always remembered the line she shouldn’t cross, that’s why she always walked behind Suleiman. lbrahim crossed that line, he decided to walk in front of Suleiman, imagining himself as Sultan. At least Hurrem acknowledged it and gave "credit " to Ibrahim that he was the one who first chose and presented her to Suleiman all those years back. If only Ibrahim hadn't gotten so arrogant! But oh boy if his grave had remained a secret, we'd never know of this cunning, witty and intelligent pasha who was literally the Sultan's left hand. So, the fact that he didn't have a proper grave doesn't make any difference. He was still a great statesman (who had the misfortune to be ruined by his own arrogance).
Also, I never for once missed Meryem as Hurrem because this actor carried the weight of the character magnificently. It was like Meryem herself had transitioned into Vahide Percin - younger to older Hurrem.

This whole video goes to show what a woman Hurrem became:
When she came to the palace as a slave, she had a fiery temper and couldn't settle down. She made many enemies. With Mahidevran, Valide Sultan and, of course, Ibrahim Pasha. That sort of started the whole rivalry series.
Then, after being with the Sultan and giving birth to Shehzades and Mihrimah Sultana, Hurrem began to know her place, like she said in this video. She knew what power the Sultan had. He could exile her, disgrace her, execute her, leave her. Hurrem learnt that if she just kept her head down and remained silent, respectful and obedient, she'd live peacefully.
However, people still found ways of turning against her. Hatice Sultana blamed Hurrem for Ibrahim's death and Mahidevran and Fatma (Fatma HATUN for the grandson and Fatma SULTANA for Mustafa) blamed her for Mustafa and his son's deaths. No one gave Hurrem a break, even though she changed.
But you'd wish that more people could see Hurrem apologise and settle accounts with her former enemies. You wish you could have seen Hatice see Hurrem praying for Ibrahim. You wish you could see Valide, Hatice, Shah, Ibrahim, Mustafa and Suleiman see Hurrem and Mahi settle their accounts.
    Hurrem became a good person.
But no one left her alone.

I stopped watching after Hatice died.
On one side was very disappointing for me how Hurrem from an innocent person turned into one who slander, manipulate, lie in an extraordinary way. Manipulate her children and the sultan to keep her position. She turned out that wasn't better at all than the others. If not worst than the others. So why should one praise her?
On the other side, Ibrahim and Hatice were two great characters! To not talk about the beaty of Hatice! A tall, slim beautiful actress. Frankly in my opinion Hurrem wasnt a beautiful woman, more! In first episodes, when she was round and fat she had a little Miss Piggy face ( as the one in Muppets Show)
If the producers kept Ibrahim and Hatice in the movie many would watched it till the end. But without these two- no any charm.Only that cheap "love" story between the sultan and Hurrem. The movie started great but failed after a time.
