Lauren, when you say 'it smells sick' I keep thinking youre saying it's smells really good like 'yeah this is sick!' But then I realise youre saying it makes you sick and I have to erase the mental tick for that product 😂 😂 ❤
Wow that's a lot of body scrub!! BTW, if you don't think that your family wants it all, give some to a local homeless shelter. I did that with hand soap, bars of soap and shower gel and they were so thankful to get it. It felt great giving it to someone who really needs it.
Yes, please do a body scrub video that doesn’t include tree hut!! I have nothing against that brand, it’s just they use macadamia nut oil and I found out a few years ago that I’m now allergic to macadamia nut. I get a rash all over my body when I use or eat macadamia nuts.
I absolutely love that you talk about mental health on your channels. I struggle with some of the things that you have mentioned also and making the shower a super fun place to be in terms of trying all kinds of fun new products sounds like a great idea that I want to do now! Thank you for that!

I just got my first tree hut scrub on your recommendation and it’s helping me to get excited for my showers and remind me to pamper myself a little which normally feel like a chore. This is so weird but it helps me, I pretend I’m “that girl” I do everything the most romantic way. Bonus points if your space is already clean the mindset will be even easier. Pretend you’re rich, make a green juice or a water, light your girliest candles, make your bed, put on a fluffy clean robe and tell yourself you need to take a shower before a big day of girlbossing. Start your shower and check your emails while it heats up. Use your nice expensive products and think of it like you’re fulfilling your purpose to be an it girl and a nice fragrant shower is just another part of that. Make plans to go get chipotle or Starbucks after. Again I know it’s weird but romanticizing executive functioning makes it doable and as someone with adhd and depression I’ll do anything to make it easier 😅😅

I friggin love Native bodywash! I live in the Sweet Peach and Frosé in summer…and Candy Cane in winter 🤩 I’m so gutted they just announced they’re not shipping to Canada anymore 😭

Shower steamers - I have found that most suck but if you are sick the Vick's VapoShower soothing shower vapors are actually great. They really help with congestion and make my chest feel better if I have been coughing. They smell like Vick's vapor rub, which mostly is terrible but when I have a bad cold it is actually really comforting to me. Probably not the recommendation you were looking for but I have tried soooooo many shower steamers and honestly have not found any that are worth a damn. They always smell, well, off. At least the Vick's one provides some relief when I am sick.

I really like the way you describe everything and aren’t boring with your reviews. I’m also skincare obsessed. My dream in life is to be in the circle of people who get Lauren’s decluttered items.
I stopped buying the matching showergels years ago and that helped me declutter a lot! I moved in my appartmenrt with at least 18 showergels and it made my bathroom drawers full to the brim.
Now 5 years later I have like 3 showergels that i rotate and I'm very happy with it!
Same with lotions, I kept 4 that go with most mists and it's enough! Thinking I had to match and layer everything made my drawers pile out and I had to declutter products that went bad every year..
I just bought my first Native body wash in Sandalwood and Shea. It smells slightly masculine and clean. It smells absolutely delicious, dahling.
We have a lot of similar faves. I currently have Crispy Marshmallow bars body wash and Dr. Teals Shea Butter Scrub in my shower rn. The Dr. Teals scrub is the only product that I can still smell on my skin when I get out of the shower.
The Soap & Glory "clean on me" body wash is sooo good! Smells like heaven. My 2nd long time fave is actually by oil of Olay and its the orchid and black currant one. It smells Ah-mazing!!!!!!😊

Secondly, products are my weakness. They're a major part of my clutter issue in my bedroom, and I don't know where to start to declutter them. I don't keep much in my bathroom cupboard, as i like to keep the bathroom tidy. But I still have too much.

Hey Lauren, I understand the struggle of trying to find a good shower steamer and I’ve recently gone through the journey as well. So far, my favorite has been the Body Restore Relief. I have tried the Lavender version too and enjoyed.
I recently bought the ouai scrub because of you and it smells so heavenly!! It might just become my new shower fav.

Pastel skies does have a cotton candy note but it don't lean as gourmand as some of these others that u (and I) tend to like....it actually is a very WOODY scent even kinda leaning into unisex territory....I like the spray but always mix it with something that's super sweet to tone down the strong woody note

You should! For me, shower stuff takes awhile to get threw so I don't mind spending a bit. Also I love to get a few celebrity or designer perfumes. They also take forever to empty and don't frustrate me like body mists.
I have bar soap, shampoo & conditioner 🤷♀️ but my hair loves my shampoo so I don't feel the need to get anything else

To amp up your shower steamer and get thr most scent, pre-steam your shower and then drop it in the stream. Shea Moisture makes some nice ones.

Okay I'm so glad I have never gotten the scrubs from Ancient Cosmeticz because I love the brand I guess because I always get the body oils, body butters, and for in the bath/shower it's definitely the whipped soaps that u wanna try ....but I'm so thankful u told me about the scrubs ..... because the scents are great and I have yet to find a body oil, body butter, or whipped soap that I didn't like ....all the scents are SOOOO GOOD!!!

invest in a tube crimper. Its life changing. No more ugly aluminum tubes and it helps get the product out. Super satisfying
A lot of these products you can screw off the top a little to smell it so you don’t end up with products you don’t even like the smell for. This is a bit excessive when some of them could have been avoided all together. Obviously the PR and gifts from people are less avoidable but the things you purchase yourself, definitely smell before you buy.
I discovered my favorite body scrub trying random TJ Maxx brands. It's an Australian brand, Om She Aromatherapy, I usually clear the shelf the random times I find it in stock lol. I love their peppermint & tea tree mermaid scrub, I think they might have discontinued the line though since it's not on their page. They have sugar scrubs but I haven't tried them yet. Their body butter is also really nice, one of my faves.

You should try Lord of Misrule from lush also yog nog is coming in a shower gel from lush for Christmas it may be in the store. Your let the good times roll looks like it had gone bad so I would through it out. Your should check the expiration date on it. If you don’t like the feeling of lotion. Try the body yogurts from the body shop. They smells good and have hyraonic acid in them. Especially the pear they have from holiday you would love. Use them after the shower they work best on damp skin.
The Tree Hut body butters are holy grail for me. I was surprised you got rid of them.

I like the Ancient Cosmetics scrubs and body oils. I think the key to the scrub is to store it upside down so the oil comes to the top, then when you go to use it the oils flow back to the bottom. My only complaint is the scents aren’t very strong

Have you tried Molten Brown shower gel fragrances at all? They have great scents that are a bit more niche and complex. I think you would enjoy them!

I agree with Sol de Janeiro body washes are hard to lather up.
So are their shampoos. Almost used a whole travel size to do one wash of my thick hair.
I saw the ciroa scrubs at Marshall’s and was also sucked in by the packaging but didn’t end up getting them

the best. BEST. native scent is the holiday seasonal SUGAR COOKIE!! The deo and the bodywash, both soooo good. definitely check it out if you get the chance!

I bought the Fenty cherry scrub and I hate the smell of that one! But I do enjoy the TJMaxx Onyx house scrubs!
I find the shea based dr teals scrubs to be pretty moisturizing, in addition to being a good scrub.
Usually body scrubs has to be mixed with a spoon before use, so you mix the oily and the salt grains together and the consistency is becoming more soft than harsh. Maybe you can try that if you haven't. Anyway, great video :)
Maybe use the body scrub that you are nearly done with on your feet? Good to just use it up. 😀👍

I have a very random PSA to you and all the folks here: if you see the RAW Sugar scrubs at Target DO NOT GET THEM!! They smell INCREDIBLE but they leave this horrible film on your skin that you can't even wash off right away. I've never felt like I needed to shower again after using a product until that one. And even if you shower again, you can't get the film off!!!!! Literally one of the worst things I have ever tried. Don't let the scents fool you!! I'm tempted to try the body washes, but I don't think I will because I'm so scarred from the scrubs. It literally made my hair feel like straw since my hair touched my skin.
I used to buy backups of a lot of my lotions shower gels etc but now I only have body spray backups. On a side note with BBW even if you use the body spray, lotion and shower gel all at the same time I feel like you run out of the lotion and shower gels first before the body spray

I ❤ Ciroa body scrubs. Their blueberry & honey is so delish. The ones I got are in a tub kinda like Tree Hut.
The body pharmacy scrubs feel like salt. Also not a fan.

When you use oils , you want to use them as soon as you shut the water off in the shower, while your skin is wet. They aren't meant to be used on dry skin unless you have severely dry skin. I am obsessed with oils, and the trick is using them on wet skin. You massage the oils in for several minutes in each area, its time consuming compared to lotion, but oils help keep your skin young!
This is basically how I apply all my lotion and skincare after a shower
I don’t understand the whole obsession with body scrubs. All of a sudden in the last few years everybody is just stockpiling scrubs. To me they are very messy and make an oily mess in your shower or bathtub and they leave a residue on your skin I would rather use a dry Mitt honestly and then put a nice oil or lotion on after. But that’s just me everyone else can do them lol
I haaaate the oily residue on my skin with a passion!

Kopari has a KP scrub that smells less strong then First Aid one but to be honest they all smell a little funky but I figure it's the price to pay for product that works 😂

The Sol De Janeiro 4 play Bum Bum body wash scent does not suds up either... I bought it last year during Sephora sale and it is the same way. I've been trying to use it for a solid year, but I prefer other washes that are more sudsy. I love a lot of their products but that one is a pass for me.
I agree with that philosophy sugared crust!! It is awful!!! Idk how something that sounded so amazing could be so bad and nauseating. It’s like trying to be too many things at once or something idk. Was not happy with that purchase and thought it was going to be so yummy

Some of you really need to think before writing negative comments to influencers. They purchase products to keep all of us from buying and wasting them ourselves. It actually saves much more waste than it creates. Even if it didn't, being rude is just completely uncalled for! You can choose not to watch content you don't agree with, and remember that if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all.
I have read and left a comment myself and I believe that most people who have left comments similar to mine are just not okay with seeing this level of consumption by one person. There’s enough here to open a drugstore! You can say it’s to show us but that’s very near sighted, and it is highly concerning so it is okay to not condone this behavior particularly as it’s indicative of a real problem that needs help before it spirals…

I use all my scrubs with coffee long handled spoons so I can get into the jars bottoms and don't have to dig my nails into a jar, and I get to keep my scrubs full of water, get some spoons for your scrubs and wash them after you scoop out some, get a toothbrush holder and put your spoons, and spatulas in there, im too cheap to waste my good money because it's hard to get into with my hands, long handled spoons for the win,. Than you can stir up the scrubs as well if the ingredients are separating, I have never seen this many scrubs before, your living a life I wish I could just smell 3 quarters of these products, let alone own them all. Canada doesn't have options like these, so many I never heard of cool seeing how each company is so different. Get you some bougie shower spoons trust me it's a game changer ✌️
