A fine jazz musician once taught me that the Bb Bb7 Eb Ebdim in the third four can be thought of as substitutes for the first and second four. Bb is direct, Bb7 can be substituted by Bdim which is also G7 which is already a substitute for Gm7, Eb is a relative major substitution for Cm7, and for F7 the Edim leads to Dm7 which is a substitute for Bb. So if you un-substitute everything you can just play I vi ii V or Bb like Django did.
