It's always nice to see your genuine respect for the culture you're experiencing. This is how you should act as a tourist.
Bronson ima tell you right now the people who are acting wild and reckless don’t think every other person from tht country is like thr
Respecting foreign tradition and culture gives us the possibility to be open minded and learn about humanity. It is such a blessing when this happens.
Agreed. Meanwhile, most "tourists" in the US never want to leave and just continue staying here illegally, make anchor babies, and leach the taxpayers.
@@RobertLeBlancPhoto See, this is why people think Americans are assholes. Other countries don't constantly complain about immigrants even though they all have them.
@@justrobin8155 exactly
I love that you went to a very cultured part of Mexico and not the typical tourist areas.
jlopez1017d I am Mexican and in Mexico has over 50 cultures and he knows only 10 of them
@@jenifergerrero4021 Culture is definded as a congregation between a countries lifestyle, habits, knowledge, and artistic, scientific and industrial development of a certain group in a certain time span. Therefore a country can´t have many different cultures, it either has a rich culture or a not very rich one. Even though Mexico is one of the most cultural diverse countries in the world, it still has one culture; the mexican one, which was formed by a variety of different occurings, geography, history, coincidences and influences. One example is the colonization.
Ro Calvo “A country can’t have many cultures” that’s not true. The United States is an example of this
@@rachelfajardo9640 Yeah I explained it poorly. OK, then tell me how many cultures does the US have exactly?
Ro Calvo yoy can’t count exactly how many because the United States is so large. Each state could definitely have its own culture, so At least 50. If you want to generalize it however, the south has a very hospitality driven culture. The pacific is a bumbling city kind of deal, along with seafood being popular in food. Texas has their own thing going on and god knows what Alabama is doing lmaoo.
7:35 I was just expecting to see a nice video of my hometown in Mexico and I see my freaking dad in the video lmao
That was our dad?

hahahahahaha that's great
I love your reactions. It makes me happy you love our Mexican food.
Hola Nina, bueno esta comida es la bomba. Lo mejor
@Joel Gutierrez pues...
Highly underrated as a cuisine IMO - traditional Mexican food deserves more prominence like Italian, Japanese and Chinese food.
Can we appreciate the guide 🥺🥺 like he's such a sweetheart

Such a sweet thing to say
Really appreciate how they make everything fresh and how they just make a batch from one pig and that’s it

As a Mexican American, I can’t express enough how happy it makes me to see Mikey enjoy authentic Mexican food :’)
What many don't realise is how diverse the different regions in Mexico are and the diversity of cuisine in those different regions
Jalu3 yes exactly! Which is why it’s soso nice to see more representation in this video :D
jasminidk I’m from Costa Rica and we’ve been to Mexico 🇲🇽 twice and if I could I would go tomorrow again. What a beautiful, charming, great place to visit.
Man. The carnitas looked good. But when you went authentic was with the tamarindo shave ice. I just love those.
I can't wait until I get a taste of that shave ice

Mexican street food is awesome, I love carnitas and concha
What kind of concha? The sweet bread?
My auntie likes the sweet concha it reminds her of a sweet bread her mom's use to make for her in Cuba I think it's called bollo
mui bueno y por que Carlos your friend is not eat? is he on diet?
I keep seeing you everywhere wtf
If your Cuban your not Mexican so stop comparing Cuban food to Mexican food
Thank you Carlos for taking such wonderful care of our foodie-travelling lad. Everything looking delicious. Thank you for taking us with you, totally enjoying your experiences. 😍😍👏
I love Mexican food, and this made me hungry, i want some chilaquiles now
I love when my mom would make that for breakfast 😍🥺🤧
Naͣfiͥsaͣhͪ Oury Bah
I can make some good Mexican food. Omg but this video makes me jelly I'm not there 😩
🤘🏼
Naͣfiͥsaͣhͪ Oury Bah you black?
I recently learned to make chilaquiles - breakfast style with chorizo and eggs. I got hooked after I tried it at mexican restaurants. I can't understand why this food hasn't become a common item on like every american breakfast menu. It's sooooo good.
As someone from the State of Michoacán this video made me feel joy as I watched you enjoy our local food. 😁
I have been CRAVING Mexican food lately. I’ll just live vicariously through you, as usual

Someone tell Mike you can rip apart the Tortillas and pick up food like that.
I think you just did!!👋😂

Sometimes u rip apart white bread
im from pakistan and thats basically how we eat our food we call our tortillas roti
You can also roll it and take a bite
Thank you so much for the admiration, respect and love that you showed to both our food and our culture. We are happy to receive you and others with open arms in this beautiful country. Sending you much love from Tijuana, Mexico.
Tijuana shouldn’t be considered Mexico. Go to the REAL mexico like Michoacán

Amen to that!!! I sure miss his eating adventures😭
Yo srsly though! I was just thinking that hes got a Bourdain type feel.
@@SunnyNoodless Bourdain also included personal and political commentary to his food tours, he was a lot deeper, plus he was formally trained and experienced chef. Nobody comes close to him.

Thank you for apreaciating Mexican culture ♡ Love youe videos!
Come to mexico its not what media says i love my country and the food all over it
Susan Tuna I know right. Mexico is portrayed as poor or just cactus and desert but it’s really beautiful and modern in a lot of places tbh.
I want to come its so far away from nepal but i want to come mexico

Your country is one of the most amazing on this planet. The food, the culture, the scenery and the history is amazing. It is a long way from Pennsylvania but I hope to get there someday.
It's about time Mike went to Mexico, Mexican food is perfect for him!
The tortillas with the carnitas are corn 🌽 not flour I believe .. Thank you so much Mike for finally going to Mexico 🇲🇽 I had been waiting for so long 😍❤
Oh I know what you mean - wheat flour! I’ve had both when I went to Mexico City this past fall. I can’t wait to go back. I had an awesome time.
It's a Mestizo tortilla
Mike is not used to seeing thick corn tortillas so he thought it was a flour tortilla.
@@rmejc I know that!! But to an American, a flour tortilla is wheat flour and a corn tortilla is of course made from corn masa (flour).
Yes most traditional corn tortillas are from central part of mexico flour tortillas north part of mexico states like NL,chihuahua, Baja California, Sinaloa etc..
My beautiful Michoacan everybrody is invited to my state!
It looks beautiful there, and the food looks incredible!

Lucky! I’m Mexican but love Japanese culture (and no i don’t watch anime) so I’m not one of those “weird” weaboos that think of Japan as a real life anime characters
Great call on the fresh tamarind ice!
I just ate but now I'm hungry again 😭 ... Who's down for a road trip to Mexico!? 🥰
I'll invite the tacos and beers! 😏😉
Let's go
When I first saw the title of the video I was a little shocked. I was very excited that you came to Mexico to try our food! He hoped that your stay in Mexico was to your liking and you leave with a nice impression of here.
As a Mexican, I want to thank you for embracing our food and our country with love and warmth! ❤️❤️❤️🇲🇽🇲🇽❤️❤️❤️
This is by far the best travel food channel on YT. He's honest and if he's not a fan of a food item, he says it.
So glad you have Ben back shooting these vids! The production value is on another level like your earlier videos
Thank you for the love that you showed to our culture!!! Love from Guadalajara, Mexico
It seems universal that all cultures want to share their food with other cultures and get a special satisfaction seeing someone try their food. At first I was going to say it about Mexicans, because they're always feeding you and SOOO enjoy your enjoyment of their food. But once I thought about it, it's really something without borders. From Morocco, to Senegal, to Ethiopia, Laos, The Philippines, Somalia, Thailand, everyone I've been lucky enough to befriend over the years, there is always a special pride and bonding you experience when they share their food with you.
But, because this is a video about Mexico, it is a STRONG part of their appreciation to you and you to them when it comes to food. Even if it's something familiar, like their many sauces, when someone makes their family recipe and shares it with you, it is so special and somehow, no matter how similar the ingredients, there is a special flare to every Mexican's cooking.
I miss my Guatemalan and Mexican coworkers :( I've been in lock down since March 17th and all of the cooks at the restaurant I work at, I miss their friendship and their DELICIOUS food.
Mexico is simply THE BEST 🇲🇽 😍😍
Mike is having a religious experience down in Mexico with those carnitas. xD ❤
Dude! You’re making me want to go back to México. By the way Chayote is amazing in soup like Caldo de Rez! As a proud Latino/Chicano I am very pleased with your video! Thank you for sharing!
Always loved your videos Mikey, but after I saw how much you enjoyed my Mexican culture’s food and friendliness, and how respectful you were, I have that much more respect for you. Thank you for sharing just a bit of Mexican food and culture from a positive prospect Mike. Sure appreciate it. Because of you, I’m one to of the only Chicanos I have ever seen that shops regularly in a Chinese Market Store! They have a lot of the same things needed for both cultures recipes!
Geez, I love Mike’s videos so much! He is probably the only UA-camr I actually watch activity.
That warm my heart when the guy got the icecream and she was smiling thah made me happy keep making people happy my guy
Nobody gonna mention how he said, "we have definitely crossed a border"😂
Smh idioso

Omg I hope you enjoyed Morelia, Michoacan it’s literally known as the heart and soul of Mexico my dad and his side of the family are from there and we LOVE going every year. I hope you get to go again because there is so much to see and it’s so beautiful 😍!!!!!
Yes! Finally you are experiencing authentic Mexican food!!! I am so excited 🤩
When you went to get the ice-cream and she smiled when she seen you enjoy it absolutely priceless man
This is why I love being Mexican
My favorite part was one ate the chayote seed cause I freaking love the seed too, and his reaction made me happy
I am a corn tortilla person but those flour ones looked frickn amazing!
Imma Potter Head Deal With It they are!
The fresh made flour tortillas are amazing in Mexico but the corn tortillas are the best when they are made right. But most of south of Mexico doesn't handle flour tortillas, north does. And heads up, there where no flour tortillas in this video, all corn.
The tortillas he said were flour tortillas were not, they were actually corn tortillas.
I don't remember who told me but the person said "always enjoy life by the taco"
Its probably a shirt brand you see lot of those weird quotes on a shirt.
Grab life from the tacos lmao
Ahh que bueno. I am so glad you enjoyed the food I am Mexican and love watching your channel about other cultures dishes. I am so glad you got to experience an authentic experience. ❤️
Quiroga Michoacan That's where the Carnitas are 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Chayote are called christophines here in Barbados. Many people cook them in stews or local kinds of soup, or in steamed veggies mostly
It's amazing that you're giving yourself the opportunity to get to know our culture and food 🇲🇽👍🏼
Hey thanks for going to my fathers state Michoacán! love it there and miss it! 🇲🇽🤝 🇨🇳
This video feels so different from the other ones, trying a bit of a new format? I like it :)
