You can see all of that in this year's x factor season. Every time Louis speaks Simon does something to distract him or interrupts him and being all disrespectful towards Louis. It's obvious that they don't like each other and probably we will never know why
The interpretation of Harry's gesture when he makes the bow and puts his hands together is misunderstood. Follow his eyes and it can be seen that he is not looking at Simon when saying thank you. He is looking at the public

He probably just let them go, so that it didn't get to the point that the other boys would publicly leave the band too (like zayn did), because they couldn't stand it anymore. Now, let's focus on Louis. Louis has had a bit of a hard time in this hiatus. He started off by not wanting to pursue a solo career, but he did write songs for other singers. But, then (since the hiatus was not going to end anytime soon) he slowly started going into solo. He did some collaborations, dropped some songs. His biggest plans for 2018 were the release of his album. He has mentioned his album being almost done a few times... And then, out of nowhere, Louis is going to be a judge in x-factor and will be busy for the rest of the year?! They want him on x-factor because it will increase views on the show (and the show was been dying with very low views, so they had to do something). Louis should be singing... Not training other beginners at singing. Louis is a star, not a coach. Unless Louis does not want to sing... If that is the case he should just stop talking about an album that is never comming to be. Louis has said he will drop a single this year... I bet he will drop it at the final of x - factor, (sing it at the finale of the show), hence raising views (you know we want to see Louis singing and ear more Songs from him). I remember watching Louis on the 2018 X Factor judging, and he seemed so annoyed by Simon’s snarky remarks and all. Even when Liam and Louis had a reunion on the show, Liam was tense preforming, and he and Louis shared a quick nod to each other after Louis noticeably moved his chair further away from Simon

Simon is bad news, he worked them too hard, too fast and kept almost everything out of their control, I’m glad the boys are free now, I’m a ID fan but I do prefer my boys as solo’s, they seem happier now compared to 2013-2015. They can come back whenever they like on their own terms whether it being next year or in 10 or 20 years. I am not complaining they made good music back then and they are making good music now. I’m just glad to see them be themselves.

I think it would explain everything if we could actually see their contracts. They can never attack Simon or management it's in the contract. Louis didn't have a choice with Xfactor he had to be a judge. Louis never showed true friendship with Simon he just had to get through each moment the contract demanded that. Don't ever insult Louis by saying he was friends with Simon he never was. Being controlled by someone is not friendship and with Louis personality it must have been hell. The boys don't owe their popularity to Simon. They made him rich or richer I should say. Simon saw how the teenagers were going crazy for the young guys and he and the others sorted through the deck of cards to look for cute boys. It was the boys fighting for their rights that made them the band they became. Simon never realised the loyal strong and smart fans they were going to have behind them, practically an army with its own spy force. They should have had more support and the contracts should have been deemed illegal under human rights to trap these young boys. I believe Louis' contract was more severe.

Simon is bad news, he worked them too hard, too fast and kept almost everything out of their control, I’m glad the boys are free now, I’m a ID fan but I do prefer my boys as solo’s, they seem happier now compared to 2013-2015. They can come back whenever they like on their own terms whether it being next year or in 10 or 20 years. I am not complaining they made good music back then and they are making good music now. I’m just glad to see them be themselves.
As much as Liam perfects the naughty but nice aura, I get the feeling that with the band he just wanted ‘world peace’ and to have four brothers for life,............but then there was Simon 👀
This just ruined that final performance for me...but we have to accept that they aren't on talking terms with Simon(knowing human psychology, I can not deny most of this😂)...its just sad and I think what really happened will always remain a mystery.
What we understand is that 1D had some rifts with Simon...and not among themselves...i mean even after 3 years, the boys still love and support each other...a 1D reunion might as well be possible, but having Simon to back em up is highly improbable as clearly there is some tension
What we have to understand is that they are regular humans too, just like us, whether they talk about it or not. During the 5 years, there were many restrictions on the lads and their songs, which clearly annoyed them,and as they keep speaking about it during the last 3 years and even now, we see this through the kind of music they are producing as individual artists . A change was definitely needed for them and we can only hope that they come back stronger than ever.

I think it would explain everything if we could actually see their contracts. They can never attack Simon or management it's in the contract. Louis didn't have a choice with Xfactor he had to be a judge. Louis never showed true friendship with Simon he just had to get through each moment the contract demanded that. Don't ever insult Louis by saying he was friends with Simon he never was. Being controlled by someone is not friendship and with Louis personality it must have been hell. The boys don't owe their popularity to Simon. They made him rich or richer I should say. Simon saw how the teenagers were going crazy for the young guys and he and the others sorted through the deck of cards to look for cute boys. It was the boys fighting for their rights that made them the band they became. Simon never realised the loyal strong and smart fans they were going to have behind them, practically an army with its own spy force. I believe Simon will have to pay the piper one day and I hope it's soon before he harms someone else. I amazed at how strong the boys were to survive him. They should have had more support and the contracts should have been deemed illegal under human rights to trap these young boys. I believe Louis' contract was more severe.
Oddly he and Simon did seem comfortable and close during the judge era. But there was still strain and contempt from Louis at the same time.
Which leads me to believe Simon groomed Louis
