Of all the legendary songs by Fleetwood Mac, “Sara” is my favorite. I often play it on a loop and let those instruments, background vocals, and Stevie just cover me like a warm blanket.
my favourite stevie nicks fleetwood mac song ❤ "sara" always brings tears no matter how many times i hear it. though i know it's far into the fade out (which is when i think stevie excels in her sort of stream-of-consciousness singing), you missed one of my fav parts - "all i ever wanted, was to know that you were dreamin', sara....". this is such a beautiful song. thank you for listening to it!
And your quote "I don't know what that means, but it sounds deep" is the correct reaction to every song Stevie Nicks has ever written. 🤣 That's what I love about them.
The overall production on this song is exquisitely lush. The unique piano and guitar sounds sprinkled throughout, along with the subtle background vocals, give the track an otherworldly texture. As an audiophile, I’ve been studying it for over 40 years. It’s one of my favorites, once described by a critic as “sonic wallpaper,” which was probably a diss, but can you imagine a room papered with sound this beautiful?!?
My favorite FM song. Thanks for reacting to it and not overlooking it. The recorded version is better than the live video on YT, so glad you're hearing this one....
Great reaction! You were correct with your assessment of the "great dark wing" being Mick Fleetwood. He would pull up in her driveway in his black car when Sara was staying over at Stevie's house. Stevie later said her having an affair with Mick was the absolute worst thing she could do. Bad for the band, bad for morale. "And it went absolutely nowhere." But at least we got this great song out of it,. right?
I absolutely love the fact you play vinyl!!!!! There is such a connection to music on vinyl the digital can not express. Vinyl and reel to reel are my two favorite ways to listen to music! I subscribed because you do vinyl!! Stevie Nicks voice is Haughting.
Probably one of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs ! And where it takes me back to as a teenager ! I just started following you , I like how you research your music and have knowledge to back it up !
One year later and we're still waiting for more Fleetwood Mac. Patience, patience, patience. I like your reactor style and your intelligence, will stick around.
i saw Fleetwood Mac for the first time in 1979 at Madison Square Garden when i was 15 and this album was new! Great reaction, i still have Tusk on vinyl too!
The original was like 16 minutes long, I heard somewhere. There's some versions online but no matter which I listen to, "Sara" is my all-time favorite song by Stevie. "Rumours" came out when I was 11 and I have loved the band and Stevie ever since...just saw her show again last month and she is still such a great performer...rock-n-roll fairy godmother and poet of my soul. By the way, very insightful review...I subscribed just because of it! Thank you!!!
I love that you're collecting vintage vinyl! You're going to treasure some of these bands you're stumbling on! Much love from a new subscriber! Best of luck with your channel!
Finally! Someone not silly just taking in the music I don’t know if you do “Videos” on here I just happened to see you and watched yes, Ok! 😊 Must watch even if it’s for yourself A Legendary Performance The Midnight Special Live 1976 Fleetwood Mac introduced their new genre in music Introduced the world to, Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham Song - Rhiannon Stevie Nicks let’s it rip at the end Their performance helped change the next revolution of music After that, Song - Edge of Seventeen (circa 80’s) Live She went solo and that performance is also “Legendary” Peace on Ya 🎵😊✌️🌸
Try Angel live video, 1979, st Lewis, MO. For part of the song Stevie does the Charleston in 9 inch platform boots. Also the energy between Lindsay and Stevie on a single mic for part of the song is super fun and even sexy.
beautiful song... but i always thought it's better not to put too much effort into figuring out the lyrics of a lot of her songs... it's all about the emotions that it brings up, not the logical, intellectual understanding...
We have two Sara's one was her aborted daughter with The Eagle's Don Henley the other was Sara Recor at a time Stevie was having a relationship with Mick Fleetwood but he dropped Stevie for Sara who he married Stevie also had a relationship with Joe Walsh from the Eagles who see said was the only guy she would have given it all up for.
Try something 'current' by the Fleetwood Mac members as well. Lindsey Buckingham will be releasing a solo album next month. Two singles are on yt. Stevie Nicks had a great "Songs from the Vault" release a few years back. Fleetwood Mac minus Stevie Nicks released a "Buckingham/McVie" album a couple years ago. The last original Fleetwood Mac album, "Say You Will" has great tracks. Do a then-and-now comparison. Please don't repeat what every other reactor has done. The catalogues are VAST. As a group, and individual members.
Sir, you have a great vibe and cool comments but I can barely hear the music. Ultimately, it's about the music, not you. I have my laptop turned all the way up and my extra speakers turned up. Please get the volume up on the music from now on and I'll subscribe. Otherwise, best of luck.

Something haunting about this song and Stevie’s voice.
She feels her songs are like her children.
I always melt into this song
Beautiful song …….love Fleetwood Mac and Stevie…….the 70’s and 80’s👍
Always loved this song, very ethereal.
Same album. Angel. Some awesome Bassline and of course Stevie's angelic voice. Worth the listen!! Give that vinyl a spin again!
My favorite FM song. Thanks for reacting to it and not overlooking it. The recorded version is better than the live video on YT, so glad you're hearing this one....
Stevie is beautiful inside and out. To watch her live performances from her younger days is to fall completely I. Love with her- male or female.

Great reaction! You really do your research that's impressive! I think your channel is gonna get huge doing these classic rock songs on vinyl!
Great reaction to a great song and a truly great voice. Definitely check out Storms on the same album.
Yep, you've melted under the spell of Stevie's vocals, which I've always thought this song best showcases her angelic sound.

I just happened to see you and watched yes, Ok! 😊
Must watch even if it’s for yourself
A Legendary Performance
The Midnight Special Live 1976
Fleetwood Mac introduced their new genre in music
Introduced the world to, Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham
Song - Rhiannon
Stevie Nicks let’s it rip at the end
Their performance helped change the next revolution of music
After that,
Song - Edge of Seventeen (circa 80’s) Live
She went solo and that performance is also “Legendary”
Peace on Ya 🎵😊✌️🌸
New to your channel You cover the sound track to my childhood! Love vinyl. ❤️🔥🎵
You can't beat this, at least I cant

Check out Dreams, her voice is just incredible!
Love your analysis parts. Make them longer.
If you haven't already, you need to check out Steely Dan!... Intelligent, nuanced, jazzy Rock Fusion
Oh, try World Turning from the Fleetwood Mac self titled album. Nick named the white album.
She was going to name her baby sara

Generations talking to other generations
Sara is the name of the child she had with don henley. She had an abortion.
I really appreciate your reaction to this awesome song. There is so, so much going on here. It's as good today as it was in 1979.
So she killed poor baby Sara. Atrocious.
