Shadow The gameplay wasn’t the greatest, but I found that the endgame bosses were fun as hell, even if Balloonra is stupidly OP. DDD Xemnas is still one of my favorite fights in the series. And Sora calling him out for treating hearts as playthings was an amazing character development moment.
Jacob Morgan It’s a different track, actually. Same bassline, but the way the songs are done, it’s kind of like they’re two halves of a whole. If you search around UA-cam, someone actually combined the two and it works *really* well.
YX’s theme is my favorite of all of the true org. XIII! I love the sound of the violin, so the fact that it’s the forefront instrument in this composition is just perfect! This track fits his personality so well! Calm, collected, yet sinister at the same time! Much better than the Dark Impetus theme from BBS.

I hated Critical Mode in DDD. It was poorly balanced to begin with, and since every single boss starts in pinch mode, the fights end up being repetitive as the boss does the same attack pattern for the entire battle. Proud is much more fun.
@@fatcerberus luckily, after a small level grinding session, (which was actually fun, because of the enemy difficulty level.) I got through the last two bosses in one try. (Also, I didn't know that bosses had a pinch mode.)
I remember on critical mode I couldn't do enough damage to the clock phase so I had to let him reverse time so his health for that phase was decreased. Actually for all the late game bosses I had to come up with some strategy to defeat them. Sadly it's been years since I beat this on critical mode so I've forgotten most of them.
Honestly at .75 speed it’s kinda epic it’s like a warning or determined battle of attrition. And it’s kinda scary to think about a long protracted battle with young xehanort in time. As you are left to slowly work through the boss mechanics one at a time to finally face him. At .75 speed, this isn’t anger. This is determination to stop you from achieving your goal
The second or third time i fought young xehanort I was prepared for his rewind move but when he did it, he glitched the game making him nowhere to be found after time resumes and making me have to fight him again :(
karim ruiz just like how xion wasn’t actually the last one in days, they both serve their purpose as the hurdle to overcome more so than the last thing you face

I made sure to get the last kills I need for the Plat on it because this is legit my fav boss theme. Full Chain on Proud feels so good. Wave of Darkness I Full Chain Proud also feels damn good lol
As much of a dick as Young Xehanort is in general, I won't deny I had a ton of fun with this fight. He seems unpredictable at first, but from what I remember, most of his attacks are well-telegraphed as long as you keep your eyes on him. Certainly a huge improvement over his incarnation as MF in BBS, at any rate, and I was actually a bit disappointed when I noticed they cut his HP in 2.8.
I wonder if this theme would've also worked if they would've made it where Riku and the others failed to save Sora and you would battle Sora under Xehanort's control.
Count the numbers of hits for original Sonic Blade, and also count the numbers of hits for the original Ars Arcanum as well. That way you'll see a similar pattern.😌

actually the battle itself isn't very good (it is way to hard on critical mode or how is taht called) but the soundtrack is at least good. sadly i will always prefer l'oscurita dell'ignot
