The cost of slaves varied significantly depending on various factors such as location, time period, skills, and age. In the United States before the Civil War, slave prices generally increased over time due to a rise in demand, particularly in the southern states where slaves were used primarily for agricultural labor. By the mid-19th century, an average adult male field hand in the southern United States could cost anywhere from $800 to $1,500, equivalent to around $25,000 to $50,000 in today's dollars when adjusted for inflation. That movie was made in the nineties. Watch Van Damme’s TIMECOP
Key and Peele, please start again making sketches, you are both great!
Turning the other cheek actually could be gangsta. In real life it would seem pretty intimidating. It’s like say “I dare you to do it again.”
U get it
That’s not what it means
If somebody says something's not gangsta it's because theyre terrified of it. Everything's gangsta like that
From personal experience it doesn't work, you're gonna have to hit the other guy eventually
Peeles head shake he does kills me every time, he does that same head shake in other clips and its the funniest shit ever. 3:35
I forget if the character has a name, but have you ever seen him do that fancy guy with the mustache and the slick backed hair? He does the little "ohhoHO" head shake so many times as that guy lmaooo

The auction block sketch was underrated funny.
Key & Peele are the Monty Python of the 21st century.

3:17 I think the time traveler overshot it by 100 years and met with other time travelers from the late 18th century
I’ve been scrolling down for 5 minutes looking for somebody to mention this. I loved the skit, but it’s driving me crazy that people are so history-challenged.
Literally been looking for someone to call out the editor for that typo lol
Plenty have been talking about the apparently advanced weapons available when the amendment was actually signed but didn’t care the date was a century off

The short man at 07:17 would be proud to know that after years of auctioning and slavery, his future descendant went on to stand next to the great reverend robert jones at 15:09.
Underrated comment!

Harriet Tubman
-American abolitionist.
Harriet Tubman was an American abolitionist and political activist. Born into slavery, Tubman escaped and subsequently made some 13 missions to rescue approximately 70 enslaved people, including family and friends, using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad.
We know that though
That "I've been busy with non-carpentry work." line sent me! LOL! :)

Harriet Tubman launching herself out of the window made my night 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Literally at 9:55
