I got a 34" ultrawide from Dell to test out last year at work. I can't go back. Price-wise, it was on par or less expensive than running dual-monitors, cleans up the desktop a lot, fewer cables to deal with, and a lot less headaches as the IT guy. My boss went to one, my wife went to one, several staff opted for an ultrawide vs. dual monitors, and the most telling thing ... my wife and I both bought one for our desks at home as well. I used to be a triple monitor guy, but I find the single ultrawide to be overall fantastic. I do appreciate Dell's built-in multi-device KVM, but I don't use it as much as I thought I would. Still nice to have sometimes when I need to diagnose/set up another PC without having to run more peripherals - just like you said. The Mini-LED looks sharp!

@@i_watch_everything my work one is a C3422WE, with the built in conferencing features. Includes the infrared camera for Windows Hello too. Discontinued now though. Home one is S3422DWG, 144Hz with 1ms response time and freesync support.

Mini-LED was a much better upgrade than I was expecting it to be.

That's a great combo. The Art monitor is fantastic. The widescreen is going to be killer on movies.

Thanks for the review I'm considering buying this after buying a super underwhelming 34" ultra wide on Amazon (Deco Gear). I considered OLED but don't want to worry about burn in. Also, the monitor is now $475 on Amazon if you have Prime. Looks like it was as cheap as $350 about 5 months ago according to some people on Reddit. I think I'll buy one after watching this. Appreciate your review it helped just seeing a video of it. I know your camera won't pick up what it looks like in person, but trust me if I film this Deco Gear monitor it looks way worse than this does on video so I think I found what I'm looking for.

I've got the 27m2v. Pretty much the same experience as you've got from this one, and that wireless charge feature is really cool to see, although I don't know why they wouldn't just angle it like any other phone stand at that point. I do miss the curve from my old msi monitor, its serving its purpose as a vertical on my side now but hopefully innocn will make a curved silver mini-led at some point to match my 27m2v.

These are $450 now. Im thinking about getting one. Plan on doing 60HZ 3440 x 1440p gaming to cut down on performance needs for linear frame rate and gameplay without needing FSR.. Just want a native image. I love VA panels and hate OLED burn in, this will be a nice buy for 10 bit daily use, also will avoid HDR, I dont like it at all.

@@SomeGadgetGuy I see this has a sRGB clamp, by chance, do you know if the monitor is 99% sSRGB in Standard Color setting where gamma is changeable outside of sRGB color setting?

Having to use an hdmi adapter or a multiport hub to connect to a monitor is really messy, so having both usb-c connectivity AND extra usb ports for additional accessories is something I really like in monitors. That's why I have an Asus ProArt display at home.

    • @SomeGadgetGuy

The monitor really took over as an accessory hub. I love to see it.

I've seen a lot of bad things said on reddit about the motion handling capabilities. Can you compare the motion clarity to other VA panels in your experience?

Hey what was the b-roll video you played at 8:37 with the robot on the spaceship that seems to launch into a kind of "FTL Travel" at the end? (EDIT: Possibly could you just include a playlist of the videos you played? I get my OLED tomorrow and would love to test those videos on it :) -- thank you! )
