    I love the loader. I may have to get me one of those. Thanks for sharing.

      Thanks John! That loader is my favorite. The others I have work well too, but the ability to keep the spring compress without having to use your hand makes loading very easy.

    The love of 22LR! Sometimes they work in a Semi and sometimes they don't. Lol Herters is made by Winchester if i remember correctly. Seasoning the bore with the ammo helps. Great video

      Thanks Joel! Yeah, 22 semi-autos are some of the most finicky pistols out there. I'm surprised the Herters did better than the Winchester since it is the same manufacture. But that just shows how picky 22's are with their ammo.

    target crimp means higher pressure as crimp is deeper into lead and brass may expand more in chamber, my federal gold metal match 40 grain has a crimp but runs good, for each ammo I fully clean and lube Buckmark so one ammo doesn't get crud from the other one, all buckmarks are different in their condition depending ouners use and care of the gun, a light film of lube on slide may help, even a 22 lr will cook off lube as it gets hot and if you in a already hot environment

      That makes sense. Thank you for the information. I keep my pistols cleaned and always have some lubrication on the springs/guide rod and slide rails. I do clean the barrel and chamber out. The last few years I've used the "patchworm" system since there is less chance of causing unnecessary wear while cleaning.

    a well cared for, lubed and cleaned buckmark its usually the ammo

      I agree with that assessment. Especially considering it shot all the other ammunition without any issues.

    That was an interesting test. I acquired a S&W Model 63 4" in .22LR, and I'm experimenting on ammo with it. It seems to be more finicky than my other .22LR pistols and revolvers'.

    • @texmexshoots
      @texmexshoots  8 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for watching Frank! The Model 63 is a beautiful revolver. I'm sure with enough experimentation you will find the 22lr loading it likes.

    Watching this video for the second time....still interesting and informative. Thanks.
    Any experience with Aguila (Super Extra or Pistol Match) and SK Pistol Match in this Buck Mark?

    • @texmexshoots

      Thanks for watching! I don't have any experience with the SK Pistol Match, but the Aguila Super Extra and Pistol Match do relatively well out of this Buckmark. Hope that helps!

    What a freaking joke. A Browning pistol not able to function with Browning ammo, and you got it on video. Can one imagine if John M Browning were to view this video?

    • @texmexshoots
      @texmexshoots  9 місяців тому +1

      Yeah, it was quite frustrating. Turned my Buckmark into a single shot pistol. Maybe I got a bad batch? I also bought a bulk pack for a comparison I plan to do soon out of some rifles. Lets see if they do any better.

      1085fps ammo is not really enough velocity to cycle a pistol. Some of the wax coated bullets will work, but copper plated usually will not cycle any pistol reliably. 1150 is about the minimum velocity to cycle reliability. You want to see good groups, reliable action, try Federal Gold match or Fed HV match. Most the ammo you had on hand is plinking, general use, hunting ammo. That firearm is a target gun that requires target ammo. Ex 1150-1200 fps match ammo. Anything 1250fps and more tends to spray groups like you saw in the video. BTW, you had a great group started with the 40gr CCI minimag, which surprised me. Keep up the video content!
