With It's Lonely At The Centre of the Earth and Catwoman: Lonely City, the beginning of your 2023 Best of list looks a lot like my 2022 list! Some absolutely great books here, one thing that I think is really fun is we only had one overlapping title on our top 10 lists. Just goes to show how great 2023 was for comics. Here's to an even better 2024!

Lots of great reads Jess! I'll have to check out "it's lonely at the center of the earth". I think it's something my wife would also enjoy. Poison ivy is my next DC read so I'm very excited to dig in since you enjoyed it so much. Also really loved the Doctor Strange stuff you covered. I ended up getting those as single issues.

i read Wika in 2022 and i liked it really much. IMO the art is stronger, than the story, but it's a really nice book from Titan. The Night Eaters is a great series! The best for me at the moment. And Days of Sand of course. I liked it very much. Thank you for the video!
If you're interested, there is also a big art-book from Olivier Ledroit (Wika). It is called "Au-delà des contrées du crépuscule". A normal hardcover and a deluxe version. Only available in French, but highly recommended. 🤩
Legit just ordered Night Eaters.... this video pretty much pushed me to get volume 1.... since its horror I am thinking about having it for octobers reading

It is maybe hard to believe but I liked the King in Black stuff and the Venum Omnibus by Donny Cates the best. I did not pick up Superman Space Age but I did get the Superman Camelot Falls reprint. I didn't mind the Infinite Frontier to Lazerus Planet books after all. I did not expect that those would be any good following Future State. The current most focused writer is probably Ram V. but Jed McCay also is emerging and basically Zdarsky has not had as much on his plate as he does now after Daredevil.
@OmnidogsVault Yes it is Venom instead of Venum, I spelled it wrong. The two omnibuses have some overlap, mainly the six King in Black miniseries, otherwise it is two omnibuses in length. I mean the most recent Marvel event is the Judgement Day omnibus which I read some of but it was not put together/collected well in trade format. More than probably it is better to go with the King in Black Omnis. It is cool stuff. I did not read it at all in trade or oversized trade is what it came out in because of that stupid Venom movie. The book is way way different.

@OmnidogsVault I had the Judgment Day trade collecting the event and the Judgment Day Companion trade collecting Eve of Judgment and related material such as the aftermath. So yeah I did not read the authors other books which explain how the Eternals were changed from Neil Gaimans Eternals plus I later and afterward found insight and clarification in the Companion trade. So it was a slow read and a bit dumb because of the God celestial awakening and holding Judgment that was unusual without the Companion issues, so it looks like the Omnibus has a better ordering for sure. Yes I would say to get it too and you don't need anything other than the omnibus ordering.
Already have some of these, but I just ordered SUPERMAN: SPACE AGE on your recommendation. It looks awesome in the way that Geoff Johns "origins" books are awesome and uplifting.

I didn't get to read KiB/Venomnibus in 2023 but I want to this year! Ram V is one of my favorite writers too!
