Wooo! First Pathologic then Shadow of the Colossus, two amazing games! I didn't even know you streamed, guess I just wasn't very observant haha. Hope you enjoy the game!
I literally just posted this, haha! Congrats on getting a comment up in, like, the first two minutes! Yes, I did enjoy the game, aside from some janky mechanics and the fact that there is no options to simply make friends with the colossi and have picnics.
@@PlayheadNorth Oh, haha yeah ig it is pretty early, I didn't really see when this was posted I just clicked my subscription feed, sorry if that seems creepy lol. But as always I look forward to your future uploads :)
I must say, it is refreshing to see someone play this game for the first time and come to the insight that they're actually doing something bad so quickly. I distinctly remember when this game came out and, not friends but rather associates, would say things like how "the end sort of came out of nowhere" and I was saying "did you even play the fucking game?" Love your content. I will pay for your patreon of you have one.
I would honestly love to do a video about Shadow of the Colossus and how it deconstructs protagonist-centered morality because I'm guessing there were a not insignificant number of people who felt that the ending came out of nowhere. But yes, I find the fact that I realized this was shady in, like, the first ten minutes very amusing. I think I assumed that the game would either provide me with a justification for what I was doing or just pretend like what I was doing was fine, actually, so I was happy that it did neither. I don't have a patreon, but thank you for your nice words!
The 199 Mummy. I haven't seen the 1932 Mummy, though I've heard it is good. And lolol the ragtime piano was from UA-cam's audio library -- I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I can't help imagening a Zelda type game where you have like a different collosi for each region (lava collosi, snow collosi etc) and you have to like, ride around on it or use it to get places or things. Like controlling/using/not killing a moving mountain. Also, great choice of game to follow Pathologic!
@@PlayheadNorth Yeah, right? The big monster is always like a final boss and never like an environmental thing you can work with. These guys are even made of rock and covered in moss and stuff. They are the environment and like, guardians of it. Man, this is such a cool game, I'm really enjoying watching you play it.
I genuinely thought that this game was about using an artifact to befriend ancient magical beings or something, so it was a surprise when the game was like, naw, go kill them all.
@@PlayheadNorth Yeah, that would have been more fun, I think. They're so peaceful and everything, but I guess that's how you're supposed to know you're doing a bad thing.
I think it did definitely help me figure out very quickly that the game considers you to be basically the villain because I came into it thinking I was going to make friends and then learned that the premise was the exact opposite. I also started naming the colossi starting with the next one, and that did not help.
Well, now I'm waiting for your literary analysis. Oh, and by the way, when you're done playing the game, look up the Secret Seekers of Shadow of the Colossus. Inspiring work, they've done.
Oh wow, that Secret Seekers stuff is wild! I don’t think I could ever be that dedicated to one game. I might do an actual video essay on Shadow of the Colossus, but there are a few games ahead of it in my queue. Though honestly, one of the biggest issues is that I would also like some footage of it that I didn’t stream for quality purposes, which isn’t feasible with my current hardware.

No worries, I found it funny, not creepy :)
Your taste in games is just 👌 *mwah* immaculate! I'll be following this playthrough episode by episode!

please do more, I like your style and specially your writing on the past videos.
Thank you! I'm working on more. Videos just take a long time...
@@PlayheadNorth take your time! Good things take time
Curious, were you referring to the original 1932 Mummy or the 1999 version because the original slaps.
EDIT: Love the ragtime piano you added.
