Otherwise, I think the title is pretty self-explanatory. I wrote an (unfinished) Pathologic fanfiction last year. I decided to turn the first two chapters of this Pathologic fanfiction into an audiobook/bad visual novel (again, please, please, please be kind to me and my limited art skills).

I graduated December 2019 after a 10 year lapse in my education, was the VP of IT at the college technologies club, had about 4 different data science jobs that I was interviewing for. Then Covid hit, I spent the next year desperately searching for work, had to move in with my parents at age 32 to my eternal shame and frustration after my money ran out.
Decided to play Pathologic as a cruel joke to myself; that my escapism from the pandemic would be to play a game about an epidemic.
And now I can't stop thinking about the game.
I've managed to land a new job, it's not what I thought I was going to do with my degree, but it's keeping me fed. And as anyone that has gotten past day 2 knows... sometimes, that's enough. :)
I'm so sorry for what sounds like a rough couple of years! You're absolutely right. Sometimes it's all about scrapping enough cash together to buy that delicious egg and smoked meat.

Words cannot describe how marvelous your fanfiction is. Pathologic, a game that is as thick as a book and wide in meaning, I'm genuinely astonished at the number of subliminal meanings you've placed all over the story. You've analyzed it very thoroughly. Absolute props to your creation and to your creative abilities. Not only do I see your heart in it, but I can also see passion that bleeds from it.

You got talent for this too. Writing dialogues is the hardest part imo, and you do it with ease.

I'm not that into fanfiction, never have been, but god is this good, I love the writing, I adore the voice acting and art and a separate thank you for not giving Maria her "nipples", let's just think they never existed

And, answering the question, I guess the great part about last year was starting to code more, I feel like more or less a real person now and I think I'm getting a bit of a hang on my impostor syndrome and am for sure more confident in myself than a year before, so there's that)

I just wanted to let You know, that I really enjoyed listening to Your fanfic. I think it's very well written, and pretty emotional which is something I'd look for in a good "Pathologic" story. So, I would really love to hear more sometime.

If I was to celebrate anything right now... for the past 7 years or so, I had a very hard time drawing - a hobby that, until then, was the thing I loved the most (even though I'm not at any high level or anything). This month, after figuring some stuff out, I re-discovered the joy of drawing again. And that makes me really happy.
That's awesome! I always love rediscovering a thing I remembered enjoying.
I still greatly enjoy this fanfic-- there is never enough fic out there that really deals with the fallout of the game, in my opinion, and the "Bachelor-knocks-down-the-Polyhedron" ending is the most compelling to me, too.
As for me-- I've also written a silly Pathologic fanfic! It's a crossover with an even nicher media which just makes it, chef's kiss, absolutely unreadable to anyone but me. But I love it dearly, so that is what I'm celebrating today. :)

I really like this, your voices for the characters are really amazing & the writing is great I loved the way you took the bachelor. Also I played games with my girlfriend yesterday & it was really nice so that’s something to celebrate :)

I went through the next few chapters of this recently, and I was honestly just thinking that it was way too intelligible to be truly Pathologic.

It's not given up. It's just ... uh ... rough watching myself struggle through the battles and trying to cut it together in a way that's watchable. The next part is in progress though.

Je vais faire comme si je ne parlais pas Anglais, car j'ai envie de me detacher du reste du public. J'ai beaucoup aimé Pathologic 2, contrairement au premier qui est aussi repoussant qu'injouable. C'etait une super fanfiction et j'aimerais beaucoup avoir la suite en Audio Book, parce que j'aime aussi ta voix et ta maniére de parler. (aussi parce que les sous-titres sont activés sur la vidéo et facilite ma compréhension du récit) j'ai aussi kiffer la musique "I'm pathological path-patho-pathological"
