    Also a specific question, how do you deal with injuries as a competition judoka? Right now I have a runner's leg (knee injury) and I feel like I can barely walk the stairs or run. But still I really want to practice and fo randoris. Im really dont want to lose my form.

      @@TravisStevensgrappling That last throw was dope. I had blown up my shoulder and couldn't raise my arm enough to put them in the elbow pocket for a proper seoi nage, so I started getting lazy and pulling them across my shoulder similar to that, but I found bracing off the shoulder I could generate some incredible torque for monster throws, but it tends to be painful for the uke, so I stopped, but it was fun.

    I don't get it
    how can u throw him so easilly even though your center of gravity isn't that low compared to his?
    in my school we learned that most of the nage waza require a really low stance to be able to do it properly and personally I feel that way
    if I don't lower my center of gravity I will struggle with it
    can u plz explain this to me?

    That last throw was sick. The sad thing is how judo changed the rules by taking away leg takedowns 😞

    • @TravisStevensgrappling
      @TravisStevensgrappling  4 роки тому +2

      I do miss the leg grabs but I think judo is a lot better because we took them away.

    • @rubikscubing5634

      @@TravisStevensgrappling Thats true also because we have even more variations of different throws. The only thing that I feel against about taking away leg takedowns is that schools aren't doing enough leg takedowns or none because they train more competively for competition. Thats just losing a bit of the art and what judo actually started from.
