The people who did this picketing are lunatics... The majority of the parents & all the students prefer this principal due to his very active & strong leadership which leads the school to become a well disciplined place ... As an observer, a resident of the area & an old student of this school, I would like to express that this picketing is so disgusting as this was done totally according to some personal agendas of the people who are behind this. It was only a very low percentage (about 2%) of the parents of school participated together with some old students some of them who were attached to the former Cadet team. The reason for their participation in the picketing was, due to the previous principal has stopped the activities of the cadet team as there were some misbehaving of some of then cadet members & some old students who did the training (Having liquor, Ganja etc. inside the school). Due to that reason, the cadet was stopped by the former principal & not by this principal. The current principal, who they are blaming has nothing to do with that stopping. Since then these old students are not allowed to come in to the school as and when they wanted to. That's why they are so desperate about it as they need atleast such kind of reputation, because they have no other acceptance among the community. If the viewers can have a closer look at the person in Black shirt who says that they have done so much to this school from morning till night, it seems like he has taken some sort of alcohol during that moment also. He seems to be an old student who was attached to the cadet team. Another reason behind this is, the stopping of Cricket Team. The decision was taken due to unavailability of a Cricket coach. The story behind that is... Son of the former cricket coach also a student of the school & has come to the school with an awkward hair cutting. On that day he was advised by a teacher not to come like that & was instructed to get the hair cut again properly. Then the cricket coach has apologized & accepted that as a misbehavior of his son. But in the evening he has admitted his son to the hospital saying that his son was beaten badly & a police inquiry was done against this. (He must have guided by some other person to act like that) Due to this the Principal had no other option but to stop the cricket team until the school get a cricket coach. But the parents of the cricket team was also guided against the principal by some party who is against principal due to their own personal reasons. It is a well known fact among the parents that some office bearers of the Old Student's Association of the school had an income by giving admission to Grade 6. (what happens to that income is unknown to others) This principal has stopped that method of admission to stop that kind of bribery & corruption. Since then they have started doing various things against the principal. It was obvious that they have guided all the other parties to do such a picketing with the help of some teachers who doesn't like principal as he manages the school in a very good way so that those lazy teachers cannot skip classes / teaching as their wish. It is a shame to see that women who shouts that "my son was able to do A/L s because of the Zonal Education office only". It was known to all that some students were banned their classes due to their unacceptable misbehaving inside the school - Fighting, Threatening other students by taking power of their Police Fathers, treating teachers in a very bad manner, etc. etc. & there are some other reasons which cannot be indicated publicly. So those parents have complained to the Zonal Education Dept against principal & the Director has forced the principal to stop those disciplinary actions. It is a funny thing that if a Principal cannot make such kind of decisions for the well being of the school & to get the students to the proper path... Definitely those parents are leading their sons to a path which ends in jail. There was an incident like this, some time back... a student has hit a teacher of this school & his parents has protected him then. Now that particular Student after finishing his studies (without any success obviously) is in Jail for some criminal cases which he has done. Therefore being parents we should guide our children properly without protecting them when they do mistake. Surely those parents will have the results soon as those sons are the most notorious characters in the school. Because of them the other students cannot do their studies properly. The most important fact here is that due to some reasons which is unknown, it seems that the Director of Gampaha Zonal Education Office is also helping these smugglers, lunatics, notorious parents & the mad old students. Principal has been immediately transferred without conducting a proper inquiry, the next day itself. So it seems that the Director was waiting for this moment to happen. Otherwise why did he act so fast for a maniac request of very low percentage of parents, immediately by transferring the principal? Majority of the teachers & the students are of the opinion that authorities should look in to these facts & do justice to the school & to the the students. This is the wish of the residents of this area, as before this principal's time some students were a threat to the area as well. After he starts managing the school the disciplinary of the students, teachers & the studies were improved very well. Hope that this will bring to the attention of relevant authorities of the Education Department.
