I've got to try this. Time to go shopping for a used long dress to make over. That new out fit looks so good on you. Plus, it looks as comfortable as you say it is. When you feel comfortable, and know you look good, you can think and work much better.
Saw this video - run to buy a skirt or dress - found the exact skirt that was needed for this upsyckle. And now i want to kerp that skirt as it is 😁🙈 and trying to find the new one for the upcyckle 😃
I’m planning on recreating a new wardrobe this summer rather than shopping for one and I’m using ALL of your up cycling videos as inspiration. I thank God I found you
Was searching UA-cam just for this. I should have known to come straight to your channel. I knew it would be easy BUT with your instructing it has become SUPER easy.. Thank you.
Omg! You've made a pretty DIY version of what I call "Palazzo Pants".👏 They are notorious for selling out quickly and can be rather expensive. Thank you Angelina for showing how to make this style of pants with a nice inexpensive oversized dress. WoW!👏🥰
I do not know why it has been so freaking hard for me to comprehend how the assembly of pants work. I find it so hard to imagine which seams are supposed to go where when I watch these tutorial videos, and I've been trying so hard for YEARS to find a good "skirt to pants" video that helps me get it. THIS IS THE VIDEO THAT DID IT. IT FINALLY CLICKED. OHMYGOSH. And now I feel so silly that I struggled so much to get it. THANK YOU SO MUCH
Win-win-win! Win on finding the dress to be upcycled! Win on pants being able to make long enough for you! And of course Win on being so freakin creative ❣️love it 🤓. Oh yeah, it looks fabulous too ❤️
Homerun! Touchdown!! You hit this one outta the park ... Man, outta this World!!!! I love this so much for the tall girls 4sho!! Thanx so much Angelina!!!!
Now, I LOVE this video !!! It's just what I've been searching for. I have a dress I'm wanting to turn into a pair of "umbrella pants." The dress has pockets in the sides, and, is lots like the dress you're working on in this video. I've been searching for (as I like calling it sometimes) a RECIPE (😂) to make myself some flare pants. Never knew how easy they will be to make until seeing your video here. I was scared to even just CUT the dress apart because I couldn't figure out how to get the correct size crotch area sewn. Now, with your tip on using already - fitted pants as a seam guide, I really feel comfortable with cutting the dress, now. TYSM for sharing this video with us. Love your channel. Am bout to go and make my "dress" pants, now. 😉 🙏 God Bless You and Yours !!! Thanks bunches again. 🙏😉😻❣️😍
@@BlueprintDIY That it was. Have made the pants, but, had to kinda tweak them a little in the waist area. Had made a pair of pants a long time ago but the crotch area did not fit right on them. With the way you showed how to make them using another pair for measurements, I finally was able to get the crotch area made correctly. TYSM for your advice. 😻❣️😍
Thank you for this video! What a brilliant idea!!! My daughter didn't want me or her future mother in law to spend a lot on our dresses for her wedding and said we should check thrift stores. We both found nice floral dresses for the wedding. I still have the dress but I don't care for the top because it is like the one in the dress you altered in this video. I envy you because you pulled of tying the top in front! I am to big busted to even think about doing that! But I am going to make the pants for sure!!! Thank you again! Blessings to all! 🙏🏼💜🙏🏼🧡🙏🏼💛🙏🏼💚🙏🏼💙🙏🏼💖🙏🏼
I'm a thick lady at 5ft 10in..... Hard to find pants long enough but I do love to wear long boho skirts with usually shorts underneath or leggings... That absolutely gorgeous outfit my favorite color is green..... 😎
Thank you!!! I have done a few maxi dress to pant creations before, just cutting up the middle and sewing, but I always get a baggy butt. Thank you for this!
Great idea! It's so hot in southern calif high desert here we retired before the drought, that I've been wearing light fabric dresses in cotton or light blends in summer.. No poly. I could do same. I wouldn't wear a crop but I'd use as trim on a tshirt. I'd even do floral pants!
Angelina, this is sooooooo exciting! I have had long dresses in my closest that are not in style, but because the material was so beautiful, I couldn't part with them. Now they will have new life! Also, I have been trying to find a lesson on how to make a Pants Pattern, using a "flexible ruler". Could ya, would ya, please, please, please, "pretty please"??? XOX!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me to am a tall girl 6f always been called a giant thanks for sharing your work Outstanding performance well done you are indeed a artist in dressmaking wow.
I love these pants. I love the whole concept of this upcycle. I'm shape Like a pair small on top medium on bottom. I love for my pants to fit loose and wide and my tops to fit fit. Soooo nice.👍❤️
Wow these trousers are amazzzing I absolutely love ❤️ ❤️❤️them. I recently was given some stretchy fabric looks v similar I might just have a go. I love the wide legs so much. Yet another brilliant upcycle !!!
I love these pants!!!!! Great job! I’m 5’8” so you yeah length has always been a issue plus my legs are are ver long so I understand what you mean when you say you are not that talk but have very long legs. Bodies are so interesting in the way we are similar but so very different. Thank you again for this tutorial. So beautiful!
I recently cut a dress and was doing a two piece thing and I don't like hiw the skirt looks on me so I thought to do pants. Thank you for this. You made this super easy. I'm going to do it tomorrow.
My brain couldn't make sense of it when you sewed the crotch seams, I couldn't see how that was going to become pants...and then you flattened it out the other way and BAM - pants. LOL As you can probably tell I am brand new to sewing and I've never attempted pants so this blew my mind a little bit
I loved those pleated pants sooooo much, that thrift gods sent me literally the same pants, in chocolate-y brown color, perfectly fitting, no alterations needed! Sorry not sorry for bragging, lol
@@BlueprintDIY I know, right??? Considering that I live in Ukraine - I never thought something like this would happen! I grabbed them so fast - like a hawk! To be fair, no one was even slightly interested in them that day. I'm always on the frontier of trends on my city, lol)
We are the same height. As I told you in another video I’ve been designing my own clothes since I was 12 been sewing since I was five. I have always had to sew my own wide leg pants. Once again another amazing transformation.
Fantastic job!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽❤️💯 I love the fabric and the color!💚💚💚 You made it look like a outfit you bought from a luxury department store. Love the way you sewed the pants and styled the top!😍😍😍
This is transformation! I think you leveraged the fact that the fabric is shiny and that bow belongs with that characteristic. I think it's simple and when you turn around the back looks really good I don't know why. 5* stars
Once again you deliver an inspiration, Angelina..!!👍🏾👏🏾 I have a long summer dress that I haven't worn much over the years. There is a definite possibility that I'll try this upcycle idea to create a new outfit from the dress!
