    If all of the coils are cracked you may get P0300 through P0306 codes (misfire codes) depending on the severity of the crack.
    Good work Hector.

    That toyota logo on top actually acts like a screw. You can turn it to loosen the cover, then u can remove its covering.

    Great explanation. I just completed changing my 1, 3 & 5 cylinder plugs and coil packs. The only additional thing I did was to remove the hood. Removing the hood only involved 4 bolts, 2 small hood shock mounting clamps (1 per shock) and disconnecting the washer hose. This only took 5 additional minutes and it made the entire job much, much easier with the greatly improved access.

    P0303 is a misfire code which definitely can happen from a bad coil. I recommend replacing iridium spark plugs, wires, and coil packs every 100,000 miles.

    Hey, i know it’s quite late but just wondering what that hose is ( the one near oil filler cap connected horizontally onto the top of the engine) actually mine was disconnected and i had a lot of shaking and misfire so i tested it myself and it was disconnected even the mechanics were unable to figure it out as they say it was vvt ( oil control valves)

    • @NoneMechanic101
      @NoneMechanic101  5 років тому +1

      I believe the coils crack because they never have been change and also because of the heat. This car has almost 180,000 miles on it.

    Thanks for the Great Video Sir! I just did the spark plugs on my 2000 avalon xls. I watched another yt vid saying to remove the whole intake from manifold. I found your video too late... 😤.. But you left out the hugest hurdle.. How did you remove that bolt from that flat bracket in back next to cylinder 1? That was my issue. What tool did you use? It's a terrible spot for a bracket and bolt. I also broke my pcv valve trying to remove to replace it. Now to harbor freight for cheap tools for one time use.. LOLOL Keep these Avalon Video coming.. Mine has 93000 miles and things are breaking.. 👍👍👍
