- The Wildwoods’ award-winning Boardwalk features 38 blocks packed end to end with shops, waterparks, eateries, entertainment and amusement piers with over 100 rides and attractions. Since its birth as a mere 150-yard stretch of boards in the 1890s, the Wildwoods Boardwalk has always been the center of activity. Throughout the years, the Boardwalk has gone through many transformations, growing and evolving with the mood of the country and, in over one hundred years of history. The boardwalk moved closer to the ocean twice due to the changing shoreline. Today, the Wildwoods Boardwalk is one of the country’s last great seaside promenades. - Taken from the Wildwoods Website

Tysm for this video!! We'll be going to the Wildwoods several times this summer and I cannot wait
Love this place! Thanks for the cool video! BTW, One of the last Morey brothers just recently passed away. I knew that name since I wore diapers! Prayers for his family and thanks for the greatest memories of my young life Morey brothers!
The video might be muted from 23:47 to 24:29 due to a copyright claim for Don’t Feel Like Crying by Sigrid.
I Remember when that ferris wheel was built. And the roller coaster.
Wildwood still has the same Tram Cars from 50 years ago.
The Tram Cars are from the 1939 worlds fair so they are nearing 100 years old.
@@AllCentralFlorida Before I was born. I just know Wildwood from '78. And they are the same cars. They never got new ones. Just paint jobs.
They do have some newer designed cars. advancelocal-adapter-image-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/image.nj.com/home/njo-media/width2048/img/capemay_impact/photo/24578561-standard.jpg
Hey! No bikes on the boardwalk after 11am.
Or is it 10am. I don't remember.
Noon. And they weren’t really enforcing it
It's like Wildwood has not changed in 50 years.
Gotta really have that DooWop vibe
@@AllCentralFlorida Wildwood hasn't changed much because it hasn't been infiltrated by major corporations. Over 80% of the businesses and motels, near the boardwalk, are still privately owned small businesses. That's why.
@@user-is5vw4jt6w They had in the last 15 years an A&W Fail on the boardwalk,
@@user-is5vw4jt6w sadly a Starbucks is opening soon in Wildwood. that to me is the beginning of the end.
@@infinite_vortex That's terrible!
They took down Count Draculas' Castle.
I miss the French guillotine.
it sadly burned down about 20 years ago. it was the coolest attraction ever!
@@infinite_vortex That's what happen? To bad. It was made out of wood.
@@user-is5vw4jt6w yeah, some teenagers were hanging out in it during the off season when no one was there. lit a fire inside and that was the end of it. so sad.
@@infinite_vortex Yeah, I looked it up online. It burned Jan 19th, 2002.
Kids broke it and used aerosol for torches because there was no lights. Dumb! Use flash lights!
@@infinite_vortex I didn't know. I went there couple of years ago and noticed it wasn't there anymore.
