Wazzup everyone and welcome back to the channel. After my recent sensor panel review I got from mechdyi, today I'm gonna review another product from the mechdy website. As you have seen from the intro we are talking about a compact wireless mechanical keyboard but not an ordinary one, thanks to this retro Typewriter look .
The product is available in 3 colors, the black and wood that I will be reviewing today and we also have a pink and a white version. I chose the outemu red switches which is the one most popular among gamers but blue, brown and golden switch options are available too on the website. Also this is the white backlight version but there is an RGB version too.

I'd love to have this in ISO! I translate between three languages with 37 unique letters between them, so every single key on the ISO keyboard is something I simply can not spare.

By chance, does the return key make a "ding" sound? It would be really cool if they somehow made that sound to give the feeling of the old manual typewriters.
Nope but I guess there is a way to configure it via some software
@@fgtechtips If you use the FocusWriter software and turn on typing sounds you get exactly that. It's available for Windows, Macos and Linux. I have been using it for years.
Sure with external software it is possible but not "out of the box"

Since the whole thing is angled up, I feel like the keys should also be angled so that they're flatter. Would make typing on them easier, in my opinion.
I think the Angel is to make it more typewriter like since on an actual typewriter the keys are angled

yes it's possible. did you watch the video? it's shown in the first minutes

I think if you are able to find the proper caps it's no issue, it's then just a windows configuration then
I night night 3 monthsand it just stopped charging. Any advice ?
Hi I bought one and it stopped recharging after 2 months of use do you know if the the battery is replaceable? Your keyboard seems to have a way of accessing the battery in the back my cover is flat. I ma very disappointed.
Hi mine is still working fine and yes the battery is replaceable in my case , it's a 3.7v 2000mah one. Probably you have a different model

Nice video. Just one question. I was wondering if the keyboard can bluetooth connect to phone/tablet when it is wire-connected to PC. I assume it could, but you know what they say about assuming, right?

I@@fgtechtips I received the keyboard today and did the test. Here's what I found out. If you plug the keyboard into into a USB data port, you can't BT connect to other devices. However, if you plug the keyboard into a USB charger, you can BT connect to the PC, phone, tablet with no problem.
Mine won't work on Bluetooth mode. It has to be plugged into the computer.
Mine works fine in blurtooth with both android and Mac

mine worked with lights last night on bluetooth mode, but today i plugged it into my pc and now the lights dont work, help pleaseeeee

Hello! Can you please let me know how the metal rod works? I tried pulling the metal rod but it's not doing anything on the backlight? Please help. 🥹

Hows the quality? Lots of horrible reviews on Amazon.
The fake wood is plastic but everything else is metal. No idea of the durability of the keys over time but still having no issues with it since the time i filmed this video

@@fgtechtips Do you know what company makes this model? If it is all metal (keys, base etc.), why are there plastic knock-offs out there (e.g., 7Keys) that use the same product number, as if theirs were made by the same manufacturer? At least the knock-off Querkywriter is (was?) called the "Quertywriter" so that those savvy enough to recognize the difference in spelling could know it wasn't the same product. With this one you have to have the knock-off in-hand to realize that most of it is plastic. I don't expect you to speak for the manufacturers but this is a kind of bait-and-switch that nobody seems to recognize or acknowledge. Thanks for the purchasing link!

Yes it's explained in the video at minute 4 you can see it in the specs and when I show the back of the keyboard: 7keys

You have to enable it first with the combination keys

FN+R let you switch the keyboard from wired to wireless. While for the Bluetooth there should also be a button on the back as I show in the video
I bought one of these but it arrived broken :(
They will surely refund you. It can happen with any product unfortunately
@@fgtechtips we are in contact with customer service and we got it refunded. We bought another. It worked for 10 minutes then shut off, we tried charging it but I think it's an issue with the port because it's been charging for 3 days and still doesn't work.
Not worth It. Only works in wired mode. Bluetooth just wont set up
