Of course you guys chose the easier charging cable to replace. the other farther one is impossible to switch out, ive been trying for over and hour to literally screw a nut and i dont think ive been this overwhelmed, defeated, and angry about anything as trivial as this. Despite all of my positive experiences on the scooter it makes me want to tell everyone i know what a nightmare these are to repair bc the engineers couldn't foresee the most foreseeable problems. i have long and skinny fingers (im 6,3) and the fact i dont stand a chance at screwing on the back charging cable nut was so enraging that thought about breaking everything around me and im a very relaxed person, i felt like someone on steroids wondering how they could be so irrationally angry at something so trivial.
Man I was just thinking the same thing, the far one will be incredibly difficult. I have to switch out both ports and am dreading that far one. Were you able to finally get it?
Update. Looks like pulling the deck off is the easiest method. So much easier. Only problem is you have to remove the grip tape. Guess I’ll try this videos method first damn
A Good Topic. I just had to Change my Charging Port on my Scooter. Was Looking for Info on It But had to Figure it Out on my own. The Apollo Scooter Is more Easy to fix Because of the Accessible Parts. 👍🏾🛴🛴🛴😀🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Hi John, can I do the same steps for my Apollo Explore please, I will be replacing mine as soon as I get my Apollo order fulfilled, and can I use blue Lock tight on the screws around battery case?
Excellent video. The only way to improve it would be to have the camera shoot from the top (instructor's perspective) when removing the screws in the top panel rather than from the side view.
I am very sorry this happened. I am glad you are ok. Please contact our CS team and a technician will take a look at your scooter. This should NEVER happen. - Randy
the repair on the far charging port is literally impossible I am seething, HAS NO ONE ever had to repair it?? i can screw the nut onto the charging cable no problem outside the scooter but as soon as i try doing it in the scooter it cant be done. Ive honestly had such a negative experience repairing this scooter -despite it being fun to use- that i will go out of my way to tell people never to buy this brand of scooters.
Hey Ryan, We're sorry to hear of your difficult experience in trying to replace the charging ports in your unit. If you open the deck, it should allow you have better access to screw in the inner portion of the charge port. If you still are unable to get the port installed, please don't hesitate to take some pictures and reach out to the support team, they'd be glad to examine the installation and see what may be blocking it, as well as to provide the steps to ensure you can get it safely installed.
Hi Benjamin. I’m sorry you received your scooter with stripped screws. Please contact our customer service team, they will send you replacements! I apologize for the inconvenience. We will do better! - Randy

Update, looks like Apollo recommends to remove deck for full access.

Is there any room inside the deck to hide a GPS tracker? How about a video on replacing the battery too?

I need to replace my charging port on my city. Is it the same process?
Hi Juan, please contact our support team at support@apolloscooters.co for more detailed instructions!
If my Ghost exceeds the 12mo warranty I’ll be pleased.
The scooter folded on me while riding and laid over bending both ports

Did u end up opening the deck like they recommended?
It's a nut you're removing from the charging port. Not a 'screw'. Good video though :)
I’d like to see them work on both my Apollo scooters with all the stripped screws piss poor quality building them
