The more work we get into this the better. I like to hear people talking about nextfest or game demos and how the game felt for first impression. I don't get to try demo's enough as I prefer the full release, but I do think this is a great update.
I'd don't play demos frequently. I feel that my limited time is better spent on games that I own instead of chasing after new ones. Having said that, I really appreciate these updates. They should make finding and managing demos a lot easier. Great job on the video btw. It's nicely edited and very informative.
@@poetickatana8381 Thank you on taking the time to check my video. 🙏🏻 It's surely not for everybody, but this is a great step in the right direction and it's never bad to have stuff like this. 😁 PS: Credit goes to my wife for helping me out on this video.
Nice. While I don't really go for demos but I am still glad to see more updates regards to them by Steam. Managing them would definitely be more tolerable with these updates.
Had to make a few changes. Arrmeya helped me on this one. So credit goes to her as she did more than 80% of the edit. I shorten the intro, and added the outro and the timestamps pop-ups, the rest is her doing. Oh and of course, the audio.
I'm curious if this will only apply for demos, or if prologues/first chapters/teasers also fall within the new system. I'd love to see my library clear of that bloat
Good question. I believe, so far this is just for demo's/ I always thought Prologues kinda fall in the demo category, so it's something we might need to test out.
I'm kinda neutral for this, I know what I want, and I rarely buy games on day one, so when I wanna try a game, I get it full and play it. I grew up playing demos and indeed they can help some of audience in buying a game, but I'll go straight away and make the settings so the demos won't be the only thing I'll see in recommanded page XD
@@Ihasfinger911 I don't think so. I think as long as the base page of the game is up, they can set a separate demo page out of charge. I don't know for certain as I'm not a dev, but I believe this might be the only way.
This is definitely going to make the next steamnextfest much better!

I remember the days when demos were available on magazine CDs. :)
I grew up during that period. Loved to see it man. I miss physical magazines too.

Glad you find it useful. I'll try to push more Steam related content in the near future. Talk more about the platform, so stay tuned for that.
the editing is so nice!!
i like the style

I do hope it's not so intrusive. This is available for Beta testers as far as I know. So, it will become available on Stable version eventually.
So devs have to pay for 2 pages?
