Great story! so happy for Willey and what a good soul Dulcich is to get so much joy from sharing with his friend and getting this baby back on the road!
Great bike, I had a RD 400 E white and red, UK model back in the 80's, would pull great power wheelies in 3rd gear! Epic FUN on the back country roads!
I used to own a 1976 rd350 that belonged to a road racing legend. The bike was from Laguna Seka California. The mans name was Kenny Roberts. That bike would go 250 mph. It had a redline of 14,500 rpm's. Fatsest bike I've ever owned. Clubman low bars, koffman expansion chamber, brembo brakes, rearset pegs, and marzokki suspension. Ported, with 32mm mikuni, carbs, pirelli phantom tires. Sure do miss her.
Bought a 250RD back in the day the original tires were terrible i think i bought some avons , but as a 17 yearold lad this bike was a dream . Also lost my licence speeding two up and it cost me many pounds in fines lol . Great bit off engineering at the time but as you say could do with improvement . Good Video JIM in the UK 👍
Thanks Jim! I think I knew speed in my younger years was not my friend so I ended up riding Yamaha enduros for a looong time. Probably saved my ass from road rash too.
