I’m not even famous, I’m a literal nobody to society, but Hollywood and society in general just hasn’t been the same since the late 2000s. I agree, Hollywood is dying and true A-listers are almost pre-historic. I feel like you’re very fortunate Jamie because you were in your young prime during what I consider the peak of America as I seen it.
There was no social media. No high def phones and apps to make any random Joe famous. You had to put in work and it was just such a better time in life, it felt like unity and happiness were at an all time high and it was just so great during the 90s-early 2000s. So many less triggered people. I miss when the only technology we had was TV, playing a video game or you just go outside. There wasn’t nothing else to distract you much from the real world.
I loved going to town to go rent movies. I loved the simplistic days of where the most advanced computer thing we had was internet explorer and AOL chat. Nothing fancy. Hardly anyone had internet. I’m so happy I got to live my childhood during the 90s(36 now) and not grow up today staring at a screen 24/7.
Great video . I’m 46 and used to watch a lot of movies ….. it’s been 10 years that UA-cam is my daily driver . From Podcast , Sports ….. everything. You are were you belong , build your community here and let your supporters help you reinvent yourself.
I love it !!! Quarter-life crisis is also a rampant phenomenon now, I’ve seen it all in my class of millennials… 🤦♀️
Yeah, that’s why I’m a hairstylist and I am self-employed, but I have no worry that that will ever be taken over by robots, and even if they figured out a way people wouldn’t want it
Jamie you got me through my mid life crisis with your humor years ago! Keeping your sense of humor through it all is the key!
I think you have many great things ahead of you, Jamie. The whole entertainment industry is changing and you are more ahead of the game than most people.
Needed this Jaime! Love you dude!
Man the jamie kennedy experience was a true enigma. You just gotta do something as wild and unique as that. Do it yourself online though fuck the networks.
Looking forward to this one. Mid life is killing me. Have fun at the Con. I may see you there!
Phenomenal video Jamie. One of my favorite videos from you
I think Hollywood was an 'escape' before because we all operated/lived within a fairly stable and coherent traditionalized Christian society, which allowed for a more liberal imaginative 'escapism' to be possible (because we all implicitly benefited from a stable coherent traditional paradigm in society). But now that our society has become a low-trust unstable non-coherent 1984 dystopian nightmare, escapism isn't something we have the privelage of enjoying anymore. It's a sad, but true, fact that we previously benefited from the stable coherent society that our Protestant ancestors built for us (which is being obliterated quickly). This is something Professor Huntington points out in his book 'A Challenge to Americas Identity'.
Also, Jamie, I could totally see you being a Father/Husband living in Nashville or Dallas in the next few years too 😅
That's nice, we love listening to you as well. Keep awesome Jamie :)
I’m 57 and I get it, I had a high demand job and had to leave at 54 for spinal surgery. Your name will be remembered, you made it, Jamie. I made it too in my profession but no one cares and I won’t be remembered for the dangerous work I did. Thats ok with me though. I have a good life. Peace.
man ur on point bro and it scares the shit outta me thats why i stay in my mancave and enjoy my 90s vibe time machines gonna pop in escape from ny and la on laserdisc this wknd
Lol @ "what happens in Florida stays in Florida" Does it?! Ha
That midlife crisis does hit pretty hard. It’s like waking up one day and realizing you’re halfway through the game, and you’re not even sure if you’re winning or losing, and your questioning everything. Hang in there, we’re all just trying to figure things out.
Jim carry started painting 🖼️
Jamie is a gift he speaks it I wanna go back to the USA up all night days at 39 years old
Wild like raw open mind talk
Thanks Jammie! Can you talk about the Jeff Goldbloom skit?
If you move ta Boca Flahhhriduhh, you can have a nice Chinese dinnah at 4:30 & get back, and wow, it's still light out...and then you can go for a nice wawk in Boynton Beach
❤❤❤ dude it's nor just you. There's a weird feeling around the world right now. We all feel it. Things are changing. I thought I was going crazy, but all the people that have there third eye open all feel it in there bones. We're starting to wake up and realize that nothing really matters and to do what we want to, not what we need to to
Move to Florida bro
Meeting you yesterday was beyond awesome! I love your podcasts and stand ups - keep focusing on you man! Don’t be hatin’ 😂❤
Me too!! I was there at his show with Jay Dyer and Jamie Hanshaw. He had a great set.
Love you Jamie!
Thanks for keeping it real.
I still feel like hes still being shadow banned
My family and relatives were pretty much born and raised in SoCal so I feel the struggle in terms of my love/hate relationship with this state. My sister just moved to FL for work. Her 2 bedroom apartment is the price of a crappy 1 bedroom here and her place is walking distance from the beach. My uncle sold his Anaheim Hills condo and built his dream home from the ground up in AZ a few years back. I've been going back and fourth about staying in Ana"crime" or moving to a safer area like Tustin or Fullerton until I can land a job in LA and then maybe move to either Burbank, Pasadena or Altadena area. We're all stressed and don't know what we're doing. You're not alone. 😂
Make your own 6 part found footage horror UA-cam show. Get some of your friends in on it, like Jack Osbourne:)
Thank you for sharing Jamie! I'm finding that a lot of us in our 40s-50s are feeling the same way. We are the mommies and daddies now for the youth and I personally just don't see it going in a healthy direction, but we need to express some form of responsibility to whoever comes next. The beauty of your position is that you have a lot of resource to present a better message, teach the mistakes we made, and leave a legacy that represents who we are. We are Gen X- maybe it's time we shine by example 🌟
Love u Jamie
Sheathunderwear is expensive it’s $34 plus shipping except for mystery underwear which is $18 plus shipping
Responding to the 9:00 section. Hey Jamie. One of your old union crew members here (Sol Goode). Yeah always wanted the same thing. Like Kevin Smith once said excitedly "Do Make believe for a living" and enjoy it, create with others, and save a few bucks, get a couple nice things. It could be so simple. But socially engineered ideology enforcement killed it. Then add tech to that.
What you seem to be saying here is true filmmaking storytelling is "Played Out". Even know I've known this for a while, it really hit hard when I sought out a fairly recent Frank Darabont interview saying "Do movies even matter anymore?". It just had a "true defeat" tone to it. The man made "Shawshank" which was my first credit. To think, not even he could get a studio meeting for his Kubrick script adaptation, produced by Ridley Scott.
Listening to you often, as I'm in your same age group (50), and share the same work ethic. However, left your town in 2012 after disastrous deceptive elaborate experiences on many shows. 19 years of film credits, and opted to work for myself for less elsewhere. Some of your contemporaries have gone AGTOW - Actors going their own way. You can see why.
Take a guess which fox show Jamie auditioned for
so proud of you for doing that movie :D xoxo

Hi Jamie, how are you doing today love? 🙂 ❤
Midlife? Very few people live to 106 years. You are having a twilight years crisis, my friend.
Righteous Gemstones is one my favorite shows right now… wish you could’ve gotten out of your own head, would’ve been cool to see you on with a HUGE cast..
🍺
Righteous gemstones is nrealistic and boring
Someone deleted my prayer for Jamie Trinity fill us with joy grace peace Faith hope eternal life hank Hanegraaff bless you
I hit my midlife crisis two years ago. But what I gained by going through it was clarity.
I too feel like moving to my “happy place” (Florida, Vegas, Dubai, etc,), but here’s the real story: Where you are doesn’t matter. If I didn’t change *what* I was, I wouldn’t be happy, even in my “happy place”. Work on you, Jamie. 🫶🏻
