This reminds me so much of the team I was playing for as a child / teenager. Some seasons we had to play against teams older than us, and also a lot better than us. We would lose by 7,8,9 goals in many of the games, but if we did manage to score, the reaction was similar to this.

It's a paradise to play for San Marino - you don't have to be anyone great at football, just healthy young man with a will power and you're travelling ATW meeting many famous stars, earning money doing what you love without much consequences since nobody even hope that you're gonna win and once you somehow score - you're a legend for a country and always remain as a part of their history.
Also imagine how fit these players are getting - they're non-stop concentrated defending for the whole game and always have to face players who are much faster and stronger than them. It must add up over time.

It's a paradise to play for San Marino - you don't have to be anyone great at football, just healthy young man with a will power and you're travelling ATW meeting many famous stars, earning money doing what you love without much consequences since nobody even hope that you're gonna win and once you somehow score - you're a legend for a country and always remain as a part of their history.
Also imagine how fit these players are getting - they're non-stop concentrated defending for the whole game and always have to face players who are much faster and stronger than them. It must add up over time.
Absolutely. That's what I was thinking. I would have loved to born there so I could play with no pressure taking each day at a time. Being a soccer player for San Marino has to be the closest thing to play with your buddies as a kid or teenager. I wouldn't mind if everybody gets to know I play for the worst team ever.
