Nice! Just bought my LG tower early today and got it at a discount from Scratch and dent...but the one I bought didn't have any scratches or dents just like brand new...Got it for $1400! 1600 with tax, shipping and installation! Can't wait to use it!! Never been so excited to do laundry lol...

I just bought one this past weekend for $1,400 out the door. I really like it and so does my wife who has found a new sense of purpose in doing laundry, lol. I do worry about replacement when either the dryer or washer fails but I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Hopefully this machine will last at least 10 years.

Kudos to LG for putting the filter in an easy to reach place. Not so with my whirlpool, had to un-stack and disassemble the machine to get at it. A mere two hours later it was cleaned out. It was clogged with stuff and the machine was throwing errors.

Just bought the LG wash tower from. Lowes. It's
2399.00 but. Was on sale for 1249.00 because of small dent on the right side if washer. It's in a small closet and against the wall so it's not noticeable and got it for a steal...I love it

With the Samsung Bespoke line traditional front loader. The stacking kit includes a wire harness, that has the washers controls take over for both machines. The filter "drawback" applies to a lot of frontloaders, not just the LG. The LG Washtower can be separated for replacement, (unlike the unitized machine,) like a separate stacked unit. (Reminder make sure all shipping bolts are removed before use upon delivery.)

@@Eddie-gb3bn bought from pc Richards for about $1800.00. during a sale event last year. Many models had a way too long wait on a backorder due to supply shortages due to the covid. The washer is not like what you would see at a laundromat. The machine uses little water and sprays that little water over your clothes so as to save water. You must use the right detergent as well. Some make me itch badly! Also it has to be low suds !! I had to do some plumbing and electric changes for this machine. Wasn't too bad.

I had to move the drain trap to another wall because this machine is in a different position than my old sears over/under unit. I also lengthened the hot and cold feed lines and put new shutoffs on the wall. The electric was moved also. We are very happy with this machine. Pc Richards did the install for a small charge.

Wait a minute, this LG model is less wide than the traditional model to the left? I was looking to get a 24” stackable, because servicemen can’t fit between my heating unit and the washer and dryer (My utility is very small).

Great demonstration of the height issue. It's roughly 6 feet High and looks like you couldn't really see those dryer controls at the top of the Stacked. I'm 5 foot and already figured I'd need a step ladder for one of those.
You are right about the look. I hate to admit it was the first time ever stopped dead in my tracks first sight of a washing machine. 😝 And just today was contemplating how much the physical appearance weighed in on my decision to purchase. 😏

    • @cr1m203
      @cr1m203 2 роки тому

Talk to a certified electrician about whole house surge protection systems. Also ask them about more protection where the device or circuit it’s being wired on. Samsung board products are not so great with power surges. I see a lot of Samsung TVs and Fridges on the market place with only board issues due to this problem. Not saying this is a Samsung product but I’m sure the concern is the same.

    Nice review!
Depth was an issue for me--this machine is not as deep as many others with large capacity.
As for the repair issue, yes, if say the washer breaks beyond repair, you have to replace the whole unit, but that's often the case with stacked units--if the washer breaks beyond repair, you often have to replace both because you can't find a new washer that is compatible for stacking with your dryer.

One thing I didn’t hear in this video is no talks about heat pumps. Does the wash tower have an option for a heat pump like the manual stackable ones do? A heat pump is great for me and my power bill. I understand everyone else has their own needs. My steam LG washer also has that front port. It’s the filter for the water pump. You can use the black rubber hose first to drain just in case you have a little bit of water then take the black filter out to clean it.

No, you need two separate plugs - at least a 120 V 15-Amp and a 240 V 30 amp (3 or 4 prong). It's not obvious, and luckily I read about the two plugs in a review. I had to get an electrician to install a 120 V one.

Finally. An appliance designed for women. I know that this may sound sexist, but women use the appliances more than men. I went to Lowe’s today to look for a stackable and fell in love with this. The traditional one is puny and I would always be doing laundry. I couldn’t reach the controls on the stackable, but this was perfect. (Homage to the Three Bears.) Yes. I’m short. Sadly, Lowe’s didn’t have it and won’t until October. Poor planning. I would have purchased it on the spot. By the way, the smart phone features tickled my fancy. Now, I have to get it and am willing to (shudder) go to Home Depot.

Mine drys very fast, much faster than any other dryer I have used. What washer spin speed are you using? The faster the spin, the shorter the dryer cycle. Also, what heat level are you using on the dryer? Hotter = faster. Make sure the dryer lint filter is clean & your dryer vent through to the outside of your house is clear.

It just won't let itself get anywhere near making the noise that gets one running to stop that thing. 😁 it tries for some time to get the load to redistribute itself before giving up and simply Waits patiently for me to look into why it said 14 minutes for an hour or so. 😆

With an all in one, if one breaks, you have to throw the entire thing out. As a rule of thumb, don't buy anything Samsung makes. It's all overpriced crap.

I do not recommend LG wash tower. It is just a gimmick feature since they had nothing in house to come with this year. It even has a back plastic cover since it is nothing but two units screwed together with a single control panel.

Capacity is better, looks better, but costs more, breaks more, can't clean for sh**, traditional wins everlaundry. Runs for years and years to come... take the ego out of laudry, buy traditional.
