It's supposed to be Sanskrit and Proto-Dravidian. This is because Kannada and Tamil differentiated from Proto-Dravidian at the same time. Therefore, most Indian languages have common words from Sanskrit, Kannada and Tamil.

So, I don't think atleast Dravidian languages are not inspired by Tamil. Because Tamil is just like any other Dravidian language but it influenced other foreign languages like Arabic, English, Southeast Asian or East Asian languages.
