Several people have pointed out you can donate glasses, but you can also get the lenses replaced/updated! Especially for pairs with sentimental value or that you like the look of! I did that for years and only got a new set of frames when one broke, or didn’t fit anymore (cause I was growing up and my kids frames did not fit my adult head, obvs lol). I think I’ve only started getting new frames every time as an adult because my lenses are too expensive to buy at my optometrist and most of the cheaper places, especially online, don’t do replacements
