Thank you so much for your kind words and support! It truly means a lot to me, and knowing there are amazing people like you out there keeps me motivated to keep going. Your encouragement is priceless-much love and appreciation to you! 🥰
The voltage regulator being replaced in the video is most likely a specific voltage regulator IC tied to the power management of the PS3. Its exact name or part number depends on the motherboard model and the specific component being shown. If you're working on a PS3 repair, I recommend checking the schematics or looking for markings on the IC itself for identification. Let me know if you need further help! 😊
@idreestech could you tell which are main power voltage regulators I'm not which ones they located on the back the PS3 slim cech 2001a I'm not really sure which ones mine I'm even are from the playstation developer wiki I've only seen someone replacing them once
@idreestech also who u would me too replace the voltage regulator that 2 prong insert thing my PS3 slim cech 2001a doesn't even go into standby mode on anymore and I'm not too sure which voltage regulators need replacing
Great question! On the PS3 Slim CECH-2001A, the main power voltage regulators are typically located near the GPU/CPU and the surrounding power delivery circuits. Look for ICs labeled with part numbers. or similar buck converters near the CPU and the GPU. These manage core voltages. Cross-reference them with the PlayStation Developer Wiki for their exact locations. If you're unsure, feel free to share a picture of the board, and I'll help you identify them! 👍
Thanks for reaching out! If your PS3 Slim CECH-2001A doesn't even go into standby mode, you might be dealing with an issue in the standby voltage rail (5V line) or the primary power management IC. To identify the specific voltage regulator, start by checking: The 5V standby regulator (often marked as a 2-pin or 3-pin component near the power input or PSU connector). The power-on enable circuits near the syscon IC. Use a multimeter to test these components for proper output. If you're unsure, feel free to send a photo of your board, and I'll guide you on which parts to test or replace. Remember to check for shorts or damaged capacitors near the regulators as well. Good luck!

Tantalun not titanium capacitors 😅
Hi @Aisflou! You're absolutely right-tantalum, not titanium capacitors. 😅 Thanks for pointing that out! Appreciate the sharp eye. 👍

But ylod it not always the capacitor?
You're right! It's important to consider other factors like the RSX chip and the power supply.
Please sir daily upload 😊
I appreciate your support! It is very hard to make videos during work but I try my best to upload regularly. Stay tuned for more videos! 😊
