This was so heartaching💔 to hear the stories of so many in this vid losing their life savings because of a corrupt government. This is scary because right not the evil rulers of the world are planning the same for all citizens world wide.

One of the biggest mistakes I made was marrying for love. DO NOT marry a woman unless she's in exactly the same financial bracket that you're in. DO NOT marry a poor woman. DO NOT marry a woman with kids. Definitely DO NOT marry a woman if she has children with more than one man. I don't care how pretty she is. I don't care how nice she is. DON"T DO IT.
Something people have to realize is that people in their 70's/80's or even 90's are NOT just thinking about people in their 20's and 30's : these advices also work for people who are in their 40's or 50's. At that age, you have decades to change your life, use them, it's far from being over.

My mother's side of the family is Lebanese (my father English), it fills me with tears to watch this bitter sweet video ~ becasue the lesson of life is right there in the strength, beauty and soul of these people. Not one of them complained about their loss and injustice, they named it, learned the lesson and kept their spirit and gratitude for what they learned and what they still have.
My immediate family fled Lebanon, some stayed on Beirut, they always visited UK with joy, love and humour no matter what they were facing, they were my greatest lesson for living in the moment and loving kindness when I was young. Most of them are now gone.
Thank you for you for reminding me of what I sometimes forget to practice.

I love these people, their attitude, their wisdom.
What a fantastic video. I really enjoyed the insight's of these lovely people who have lived during horrific times but still maintain a positive attitude or at least have not let themselves be devastated by it. This is a rare video that I’ll watch again, there are life lesson here I can use and need.
I live in Brussels, I am Spanish and I have met so many Lebanese people. I LOVE Lebanon and have a HUGE respect for the country and the people. Thank you for this video ! EVERY single person interviewed is wonderful. But your grandparents are adorable, especially your grandma. Take GOOD CARE OF THEM ! I do not have them anymore and I miss them EVERY day.
My advice to my younger self would be to pray in the morning and before going to Bed. Let God lead me, because ultimately with God leading me, I’ll get my ambitions done in Peace .
Let’s No Forget Religion can be so hard full and caused a lot of hate in the world.

Very powerful precisely because it's from vantage of Lebanese people. I'm an American in my early 60s & I remember n when the civil war broke out in '75. To think of all the things these people have experienced for *DECADES* is humbling.
So many heartfelt & poignant observations from them all

This video impacted me greatly. We do not realize what we have until it is gone. I love these videos where you speak to older generations and are able to gather wisdom from so many people. Once upon a time, people could only gain the wisdom of their grandparents, if that. Here we are able to gather wisdom from many generations, and cultures-- but we have to listen and learn. I hope their message is spread everywhere
It is wonderful watching these lovely interviews especially his own grandma and yet it feels so bad that they have lived and continue to live in such terrible situations entirely out of their control. Lebanon used to be such a wonderful place to live, vibrant businesses, lively night life and lovely cultural events the envy of the Middle East but all those are mostly gone now. What Lebanon needs and wants, in fact the whole Middle East needs and wants, is peace and prosperity. What does it take to give them that ?

I am not Lebanese, I am Moroccan. Yet it makes me cry to see all these people who remind me of my grandparents, even my body answers with goosebumps.
I worked in lebanon in the 60s 70s its used to be called the paris of the mid. East. Its so beautiful. Ppl. Are so smart. Si educated. Speak beautiful arabic. I love lebanon. And ppl. Are amazing. It will rise again. And so is palestine.❤❤❤
