Thank you so much for this! I think paper 1 went quite well. They switched up the order of the topics in the paper but overall still quite similar topic wise this year. And your analysis was pretty spot on last year too (yes I sat A Level chem in 2023 too 🥲)

I really want to do edexcel maths breakdown, but it's a lot more tricky than science cuz each question can have multiple topics invovled. I am working on it though :)

i understand that you don't have the physics topics but would you happen to know any1 that does a similar breakdown of the most common topics but for physics A level?
Only 2 UA-camrs I know for physics are ZPhysics and Physics online. If they don't have one then I'm not sure sorry. Next best thing from them would be predicted paper/topics. good luck :)

i saw a video on tiktok about someone saying this years exams will be more application based. Do you think that's accurate and changes anything about what kind of revision to do?
I asked the same question but to a different chemistry yt channel and they said that the application percentage for each paper stays the same each year and this is on the spec too but most likely there is a new examiner who is writing the papers.

But isn’t it still possible that the exam board could just total change which topic they will put the most questions on for this years exam?
Yeah sure, they can do whatever they want. But the likelihood is low. They favour certain topics because of their difficulty etc.
Don't rely on this completely, but I doubt they'll make the easier topics to give all the marks. They wouldn't just drop the top 5 topics.

It should be mostly similar, but I haven't looked at OCR personally so not 100% sure.
what about 3.1.9 - rate equations? Why is that not on the list at all?
cuz it's not in paper 1. 3.1.5 kinetics and 3.1.9 rate equations are in paper 2 and 3

@@easymodeexams33 A*A* in maths and further maths, ill be honest I’m prob on a D in chemistry rn, I’m not the best in learning from text so I watch videos to learn, I watched your vid on electrode potentials and I’m pretty decent at them now, my school has got us up learn but not enough time to use that, how would you suggest I prepare?
i still need to focus a bit on seperate further maths modules to solidify the A* but chemistry is my main concern as of now

Only accurate for AQA, but should be kinda similar for all exam boards

AQA has put copyright on their questions now and tried to get other channels deleted that have posted papers :( I was thinking of maybe doing a private community where I could post paper walkthroughs outside of UA-cam but not sure

Which Required Practicals to learn for Paper 1?
Just learn all the required practicals.
Why is the grade boundary higher in 2023 than 2022?Do you think it’ll go up a lot in 2024?
Nah man I don't expect it to go up. I think it's because the grades were klinda inflated in 2022 with the advanced specification the students received in that year alone, so they needed to rebalance the scales kinda (not 100% tho). I expect 2024 to be around the same for 2023 or bit lower, would be surprised for it to go up again

most predictions were inaccurate from every person. never rely on them unless its a paper 3
I deffo could be incorrect, looking at patterns only. The high yield topics do exist tho. Interesting that some people said my bio paper 1 prediction was inaccurate, and others have said it was great and helped them a lot. I'm finding that really confusing lol. I haven't seen the paper myself tho
@@easymodeexams33 u put immunity as the top subject and there was not a single question on it. One 3 marker that was vaguely related to phagocytosis and that was it lmao
@@mrbeefal0 I didn't choose to put it at the top, it was the top sub-topic historically based on raw marks and frequency. and it is only 1 sub-topic. I explicitly say I cannot predict the future so revise the whole spec, but the topics I highlight are the high-yield topics. I genuinely wish you luck with the rest of your exams, you don't have to listen to my recommendations.
