A Day On Hells Revenge

- We got a call for a chevy truck out near Mickey's Hot Tub that had lost its master brake cylinder. We went to every parts store and couldn't get one. So we grabbed some fluid and headed out to check it out. We helped them rebleed the brakes but the seal had blown out of the master cylinder so the front brakes weren't working. Mike drove the vehicle out while I helped with a strap to lower it down the steep spots in case anything happened. Then we got a call later for a jeep out by Hells Gate that had both front upper control arms had broke. So we ran out and welded those up. Then since we were there we decided to run up Hells Gate. We had to add some air to one tire after trying it once, but we made it. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.

I love how them good old boys are wheeling still and loving it instead of yelling at clouds like the old guys where I live do
I agree, so cool dudes. Hope to be having fun at their age too.
lol One of them is my Uncle, the other is a life long family friend! And yeah, they ALWAYS on the go doing something. We had just spent the first part of September traveling all over Texas, new Mexico and Arizona with him! lol good times.
@@MannyNCF tell your uncle we all love his tenacity, grit, and never giving up the dream.
What a beautiful yellow hodge podge of a truck. I'll take one of those over a $100,000 Jeep any day.
And it wasn t missing all the ball joints😂
I love how you have an answer for everything! You are willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen to the best of your abilities. And you film it for hundreds of thousands of experts to pick it apart and criticize. You're the men! Long live the Rock peckers.
I won't pick apart Rory but I will pick on the part stores. No master for a garden variety Chebbie? WTF do you call that? They don't rust here so there are thousands of square pickups all over the place.
@@TheBandit7613 They are actually everywhere. People are still driving them, because they're still reliable. I drive a 95 K2500 Suburban. The regular 454 4L80 variety. Wish it was a 79 model. But here shortly, I'll run to town and try to buy a master cylinder for it. I'll stash it in the rear cubby. Maybe, just maybe I'll never need it. If they don't have one, I'll kindheartedly chew them out, then have them order one.
@@richwood8650 Stash one away, good idea.
I don't have one at the moment *truck) but I have a power steering pump (still in box) and a few other parts. You never know, if I run into a K-5, I'll take it.
The mid to late 90's are my favorites too. They don't look outdated, even now. Great for families, kids, dogs, you name it.
Mike does make a pretty good Pinky 😅 Then of course that would make Rory 'The Brain'
Another great video from Trail Mater! I love how versatile you and Mike are in the breakdowns you must respond to on the trail. What a great team to have built, Rori… Long live the diamond-billed roc-peckers…
Searching for parts all over town to try and get a vehicle fixed on the trail. The entire Trail Mater crew always goes way above and beyond.
Then to show everyone else up, Rory takes Trail Mater up Hells Gate in 2WD. Crazy
It's the spirit that all 4x4 enthusiasts should have.
I've done similar for other Land Rover enthusiasts.
Rory, you are what we'd call in Australia "a great bush mechanic", you have a simple solution for every mechanical problem, and you just get on and do it. You really know your stuff.
This was truly excellent. Rory, is one of those guys you can drop him off in the Montana out-back, hundred miles from anybody with a broken down 30 year, old 4 x 4, regardless of the make and model…
A shotgun, half a dozen shells, a half-dull CASE-KNIFE, A small odd assortment of little hand 🤚 tools. 🖐️ Let’s say, a hammer straight slot / Phillips head screwdriver / Roll of electrical tape / 4 to 6 other small hand tools that he could pick out.
And this guy would show up a week later, strolling into your garage, with a smile on his face well, tanned, and not looking any worse for the wear.
He can work on anything and fix anything no matter how far back from civilization!!!
The casualness of "I'll be your brakes" never ceases to amaze can only imagine what seeing it live in the doorless truck must be like
Rory and his mobile tool shop can fix almost anything. It crazy how easy he makes these difficult situations look.
Always a good day when we get a Trailmater video... lol
The capabilities of Trail Mater with Rory behind the wheel are astounding!
That old Chev was a cool rig and the old boys had a bit of gear in their tool box - seemed pretty capable so they really just got caught out - good to see them out there and TM doing the help out
Love the under chassis shot! Proof to the doubters .. that driveshaft isn't spinning!!!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Right ! Don't let them fool yah .
80 gallon tank?! Rory, order one of those for Matt for his wrecker
He'd still run out of gas, it'd just take him longer to do it.
@@grimsoul0 apparently Tom Tom needs one too
@@mattbanks8972 Yeah, Matt has trained him well.
80 gallon tank ? Still wouldn't be enough for Matt .
Matt would have a competition with himself as to how few times a month he needs to fill it.
Wow, a rig like Trail Mater, Solid axle leaf springs and big block,, no broken ball joints, or light weight tie rod ends, Great video, thumbs up
Same flavour as everyday Pinky, 7018. Has me in stitches. Great stuff!
Edit: then with the jump scare, rock inappropriate touch ending. Lol thanks for bringing us along.
Dude....
There's nothing square about your body at all....
Hahaha 🤣
Love the old school heavy Chevys too.❤🎉
Still showing how's its done. Excellent comradary between u guys. Stay safe . Mater is a beast 💪 👌
That would be pretty un-nerving driving that down steep hills knowing you have no brakes, good job Mike👍👍
I use to complain about working on cars in a shop
Here you are doing it in the middle of no where.
Great job
Enjoy your videos
Dammit Rory, this is twice you have had to be pulled off of Hells revenge🤣😂🤣😂
Great example of how important having the correct tire pressure is for each terrain.
I love "boom cam" and "skidplate cam". So cool especially over a v-shaped trail where the middle of the chassis is 3 feet off the ground.
an ok day just got a whole lot better! 😄
Thank you, all of you, for sharing great experiences and interesting situations! The reference to Pinky & the Brain was an awesome touch to this one!! 😂
I like the under view of the front driveshaft to prove to all the haters that you were in 2wd. Lol
Spectacular camera stuff. That tied together going uphill is one thing. Tied together going down hill is a special kind of feeling. That requires incredible trust. Good work gentlemen.
I really enjoy all of the Trailmater videos! The vehicle is the most MadMax one I see on the recovery circuit and it's also a rolling repair shop!
Keep up the awesome content!! Between you and Matt there is always something great to watch on YT!
Great video Mike, making fantastic action while Rory casually drives TrailMater.
Always an adventure guy's near and far.
The big sign looks awesome 👌
Thanks for sharing, it always makes my day watching.
Except when Mike dropped me, my head hurts a bit😅
Nice trail repair. McGyver would be so darn proud of all you accomplish. Impressive stuff.
The Camera angles are the best, and no ego here.. You really enjoy what you do, and I believe you actually like to help people, regardless of their situation. WELL DONE!
It's great that that old yellow square body was there to tow good ole trailmater out from the hot tub.
That Chevy was the most interesting vehicle with an entirely different problem.
That old square body is set up real nice.
THATS MY UNCLE!! Thank you for the rescue!! New subscriber!!
I really enjoy you guys for your work and humor. 👍👍
Great way to save wear & tear on the front driveline- thanks for taking us along!
Wow, perfect weld out in the middle of the desert.
Gotta love the end and the outtakes of your videos! 👍 Well done, boys!
Rory, Shawn, and Mike are truly the best at what you do. It's always a good time watching your videos.
And Kudos to Justin for his amazing edits. I hope he gets victory Doritos too 👍
Oh and the suspension cams really make an impression!! Go GM BB and leaf springs spinning a stick shift!!
I've said it before, the wheelers in Moab don't know how lucky they are to have Rory AND team at their disposal. Experience AND common sense rains supreme time and time again! !! !!!
I like the new use of sub-titles when it's a good noisy. Generally the audio is great but being able to read is great. Thanks.
That just shows that it’s not just the rig! It has more to do with the control module behind the steering wheel.🤷♂️
I might have run 2 ropes on it just in case , but Rory knows his ropes better than the average bear , i mean others. 🤪😁✌️
Rory I love the boom Cam a great vantage point in my opinion.
Doing Hells Gate in two wheel drive is a great thing.
I look forward to your new videos the out takes are hilarious to watch
Love the pinky and the brain reference. A fine cartoon.
Absolutely loved watching the suspension articulations from the underside of TrailMater! Very cool
That yellow truck was pretty incredible!
Great Show, that Truck Owner is me 10 years from now, a future/retirement to look forward to.
Rory you're still my favorite, no one will replace you you're the best wrecker channel owner
You guys go above and beyond for your customers. Love those trail fixes, Rory. You guys rock!
Rory, crew and Mater never stop entertaining . Mater always conected and awesome. Thanks for taking us with you guys. Please keep safe and have a good time. Cheers Cape town 🇿🇦👌
You guys are great and Trail Mater is amazingly capable. The old dudes in the faded yellow long bed had that thing set up pretty well, too.
At the beginning I thought it looked like someone in a yellow truck was rescuing the Trail Mater LOL> until you revealed you were being the brakes for it. You are certainly a man in demand in your area!
Nice Trail Mater helping out a square body Chevy. Having fun afterward on Hell's Revenge.
_"Are you okay"?_ 😂😂😂
Loved the yellow truck. Was nicely set up.
Will be awesome when the yellow square body reappears in Rory's life and becomes trail mater's cousin towmater 😂😂
I always like listening to the chirping noises from the tyres
I've been watching Rory an his crew for close to a year. Have enjoyed every video, as and the wrecker games! I'm sure that I'm not alone when say, for all around driving, repairs in any situation, recovery's from most any situation! Y'all have it in Aces!👍 The videos are very enjoyable, entertaining, and in lightening. Rory is a natural at his craft! Never too serious! Always a joke or pun!!! "The Diamond Billed Rock Pecker Crew"! Without any doubt! Kudos gentlemen!
The engineer for videos is also a talented member.
I try my best to watch every video💯🤙 Be safe y'all!😎
Love the boom cam, feels like one of those old cop car chase cams from the 70s 👍
Lovin' an episode of pros, not rescuing, but helping out other ol' timer pros. My van's been in that shop with CB doing an oil change for me, also had a pre wedding party in that shop! Let the memories continue to roll. Thanks for taking us along (great shots of the front shaft not spinning!!)
Who ever is editing these videos does a great job! Awesome content with tons of laughs.
I bet Rory done laid more rubber on them trails than literally anyone else!!
Now all Rory has to do is back up Hells Gate in 2wd! If he does that he would be immortal!
I love watching the trail repairs. Having the ability to weld is awesome!
Yet another masterful example of how the Trail Mater team gets the job done! I often wonder if you do any brake upgrades on Trail Mater or any of your rigs?
Hells Revenge seems like a good spot to base a tow truck and have a large spare parts shop.
took a day off todo some work around the house and got a video for lunch SWEET!!!!
man i love the boom cam
What a way to make a living. Helping people out of jams they've gotten themselves into.
You guys make it look so easy.
The fromunda cam footage at the end was awesome.
Looking good Rory. 😁
That trail looks amazing and actually looks doable in a lot of different vehicles that are still stock with the exception of a few side obstacles.
I like the "front driveline cam" for proof it was done in 2wd! 😊
If anyone asks what a slip yoke is. Show them this video @14:22 and you can See how a slip yoke works. That one has a long slip too.
Man a square body with 454 multiport, even without brakes I bet it drives awesome 😂
13:56 very impressive in two wheel drive.
Well how darn pretty those leaf springs.🤩💥 Thanks for sharing Rory. Square body ❤️
Its a awesome feeling when your able to work with people you trust and don't have 2nd worry you guys are great
Those kinetic ropes sure make recoveries easier. I can't picture that with a strap or chain. Nice trail fix from the mobile shop. Some really cool footage taken on the trail. Nice editing Justin. You do TrailMater right. Thanks for sharing
If I was in the yellow truck and the only thing holding me back was that tow strap.....I would want 2 of them attached. Better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it.
Good rescue!
I’m impressed at how well that thing climbs in 2 wheel drive.
You all never cease to amaze with your courageous driving, your trail repairs and fantastic camera work! Thank you for keeping it coming. God bless and be safe.
If your sign has grommets, or if you want to add them, you may want to screw a 2x4 across the bottom for some weight so it doesn't flap in the wind & tear itself apart.
Love the suspension shots. Keep em coming
There's just nothing like watching a leaf sprung vehicle moving up and down and laterally. The way way they move is just so completely different (obviously) than any other suspension system out there. But it looks so cool!
I know...40 years ago people my age were talking about how cool a '40 Ford was too! Oh wait!!!! They still are!!! ahahaha
Excellent recovery and trail fixes. Your video's not only make me want to get out there more and more, they also show me ways of doing some of those trails and most importantly they show me what kind of "spare" parts I will need to make sure I have on my vehicle. Cudos, triple thumbs up and all that other stuff to you guys. Always bringing a smile to my old face.
Btw, y'alls sense of humor.....I think we would get along great. 😁😁 Cheers and thank you for sharing
"I GOTCHA"...would be a GREAT T-Shirt!
BEAUTIFUL TERRITORY AND THE WX LOOKS AWESOME..THANK YOU
"dammit i wish that damn injun was working today" lol shawn missing out
Two wheel drive, now you are just showing off. Thanks.
Good ole big block squarebody chevys.
Now we know why the black trail is shinny !
It's just Rory too lazy to lock them hubs.
🤣
Great camera work under the truck on Hells Gate.
OUCH!! will you watch where those rocks hit? (at the end) it got us right in the not so golden nuggets!!
It is hard to believe at least a Cardone Reman master cylinder was even available.
Rory being everyone brakes out of Hells Revenge lately!! 2 wheel up Hells Gate, hell yeah!!😃 That rock was inappropriate to the camera!!🤣😂
Rock and roll ! Or is it rolling on the rock? Whatever you do,it's fun for us.
I'm impressed with how much adding air to those outside wheels changed the climbing of Hell's Gate. That was night and day! Also, watching you slow those vehicles down with the rope in today's video and Saturday's... It makes me hurt for your brakes, but I also know that it's no different than when towing a vehicle out. Weird how the brain works... Just change the order of vehicles and it makes it feel different.
