- Here is an updated video on my previous video that I did on this topic. I have the maverick lariat with 4k and off road package. I am using FORScan to unlock eco and sport mode along with disabling the double honk feature.

do you know how to turn it off? it is making sounds when i go to fast. i can turn it off but it always comes back on after i restart the car. thanks@@JOSHIC
@sharkbayboards I think you can disable it on the vehicle settings menu in the truck
@@JOSHIC yes that is true but it also says that it is only dissabled until next time you turn on the car again. a friend said it was some new regulation here in sweden.

Has anyone used FORScan to change the unlocking function on the KeyFob to open all the windows ?
Great video, does enabling sport mode also change the steering feel as well. I know throttle behavior and accleration improves but in the trucks that come with sport mode stock, it also changes steering behavior. I value that steering feel a lot but i also want that sick fx4 package, let me know if it improves steering feel and/or weight as well.
Thanks man. I honestly have not felt any difference with the steering while sport mode is activated. Throttle difference for sure but not steering and/or weight. Hope this helps!
@@JOSHIC no problem! that kinda sucks i wonder if there's another section in forscan that deals with steering because the sport mode should have adjusted steering to be more athletic.

Your video is great and very informative. I have a 2003 Lincoln Navigator and a 2011 Ford Taurus SEL. My interest is mostly for diagnostics, such as misfires, etc..
The Navigator is now 20 years old. With that in mind, will ForScan take care of diagnostics for both vehicles?

Thanks for the feedback. Yes. It was quite informative which has led me to pursue use of ForScan rather than getting locked into some Chinese ("all most right") scanner. Made in USA is my priority! @@JOSHIC

I'm strongly considering upgrading my stock tires to bigger meats, but I hate the idea of my speedometer being inaccurate due to the different tire diameter. Would this software allow me to tweak the speedo calibration for a non-OEM tire?
I am not sure if it could. I haven’t tried to do that yet.

Thanks for doing this video! I bought a cheaper link cable on Amazon, and it’s not wanting to fully connect. Do you think the cable that you linked should fix that problem?
Actually, I did get it to connect eventually, but I am missing the BodyCM module. Any ideas?
I’ve heard the cheaper cables have problems like that. May want to get the one I use and try it out

If your truck has the modes but it was disabled you should be fine. I’m not an expert so if you are worried about anything, I’d consult with an expert. Ford just locked the modes for the different trim levels.
So you’re Maverick didn’t have these Modes to begin with? I’m wondering because I have a 24 xlt Tremor and those modes are already active except Sport mode
Na mine didn’t have them. 22 year fx4. I guess the newer models have eco unlocked as standard?
Can we rearrange the order of things? For example make eco mode the default for the hybrid?
I read that by disabling, then enabling them in the order you want you can change the order but I don't think you can make Eco the default. I think it's set to always default to normal but as I understand it you could set Eco to only take one push of the drive mode button.
I added sport mode in my car( wildtrak 2023), originally there is no Sport mode, do you think if I drive with sport mode, there will be a problem with the engine. ?
Nah I don’t think there will be any problem. My truck didn’t have sport mode and I drive in sport mode and have not had any issues.

I have finally decided to try adding these two modes to my truck. But unfortunately I don’t have a PC so I’m using my Mac. I’m running parallels, using the cord forscan recommends. I’ve gotten the program to open, but I just can’t seem to get it connected to the truck. Do you have any thoughts?
I would try boot camp on Mac to install windows, if that is too much, maybe borrow someone’s pc and download the software. You could probably buy a cheap laptop and return it afterwords? Best bet would be to borrow a pc or go to someone’s house that has it

Hi! In the 2.0. ecoboost,, does the Eco mode make the gears shift earlier, at lower rpm's? Thanks!
Eco mode just adjusts the throttle response to save fuel.

I haven’t. I only really cared to disable the honk and adding eco & sport mode
After you change to programs what is next to save them.
I didn’t see after you checked to see if everything functions.
Do you hit save and unplug computer.
I was going to do the modes on mine. I have never done it before. Just want to make sure I don’t mess it up.

Once you hit write and you turn off and on your truck per the prompt, you can press the disconnect button and your good to go.

Try lookin under module configuration and see if it’s disabled. But based on a quick search, it looks like it comes standard on the wild track
hi, i´ve seen yours is a lariat trim right? are u able to open the power flow app on your main screen? i own a 24 lariat no sync on it but it doesnt have that option the list, but have seen some xlt´s or xl´s with this feature enabled, is this possible to enable with forscan? any help will be appreciated.

Hello friend - You need to first choose it from the list of modules then press the play button to load it up so you get to the configuration options and tab along the top.
@@JOSHIC Friend, the problem I had with my connection to Forscan was due to the Windows version. I solved it and managed to do the procedure and everything went well. I enabled Eco and Sport modes. Thank you very much for the video with excellent information.

Hello! Do you have an xl or xlt? If so you can buy switch back turn signals from lasfit.
@@JOSHIC i have a Lariat model. I don't know If the same procediment of the XL or XLT model.
Unfortunately I don’t think you can enable the turn signal lights as an additional drl light. The lariat already has drl lights.
See if you can take out the speed limiter Aca in Argentina is limited by 175 km

No you aren’t driving without abs breaks. It does not disable your abs system. I have all sport modes so yes you can drive in sport. Hope that helps

My 22 doesn’t have those modes and not sure what model has it. But yes you can enable the mode if your model and year truck has them available for other trim models. Just need to plug it in and see what you have

I believe it automatically asks you when you plug it in if you want to save/backup your settings

Will this void the warranty?
What I’ve read from my own research on this topic from others is no. You are just enabling stuff that the truck has that was turned off from ford.

@@kevinmonroe3722 you’re welcome. If anything, just reset back to factory settings lol also, it’s not recommended to buy a cheaper link. A fellow viewer commented and I have also heard that using a cheaper linkage cable may cause problems. Use the cable I have linked in the description.
How bad does this mess with warranty?
I’ve already had a warranty claim made on my truck. Nothing happened. If anything, you can just go back in the computer and reset your truck back to factory settings

I found all these driving modes gimmicky at best. Honestly i think all it does it mildly change the shift points. I could maybe see having different drive modes in a car that actually had a high performance drivetrain. However in a maverick with only a hybrid and a 2.0 ecoboost as its engine options ,sport mode is kinda silly! 😊
I feel ya on that. But I can tell you my mpg has been better with eco mode unlocked. Eco mode is very sluggish compared to sport Mode even when I step on it.
