There is something about this little car I really really like in spite of the small engine.....so I bought one and love it. Great for around town, not as great on the highway trying to pass above 60+. Still I love it and at my age just need to be patient and slow down a bit. Nice car!
I needed a small, inexpensive car over a year ago. I test drove the Trax and couldn't believe how bad the ride was... I drove over a single piece of gravel on the pavement and could feel it in the car! Tried out the Encore and the ride was the difference was between Valhalla and Hades. I still can't believe that something so small has such a great ride. Yeah, I bought it. And, with the little turbo it is actually a peppy accelerator. When merging on the interstate I have no problem gunning for a place in line.
The encore has an optional higher output turbo 4. I think it is still a 1.4. It makes a significant difference in the drive ability of the encore. Better acceleration numbers.
I like mine but (still under warranty) during sub-freezing cold, the turbocharger intercooler would get stuck. It was repaired and they gave me a little cover to put on the lower front grill.
@@kirkout7366 it's a great little car... I do wish I had gone for some of the available safety features like blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise though. Also, I'm not a fan of the way the back seats fold 😒 otherwise, I love it! As a part time wheelchair user, a power liftgate would be nice too...
I have a 2018 Encore. I'm finding out now what a pile of crap the 1.4l turbo is. Less than 50,000 miles and I've replaced the turbo, valve cover and the intake. I'm not hard on my vehicle and always maintained. My son is a mechanic so I make sure things are done when they need to be. GM put the 1.4L turbo in the Encore, Chevy Cruz, Sonic and Trax I think. Maybe others as well. I would never recommend this vehicle (or any with the 1.4L)
I have a 2015 encore. I get more compliments on this car than any of the other 4 prior cars I've owned. Which includes a Ford explorer 2 door and a Volvo suv. I think people are really interested in smallish SUVs. I like sitting higher up, but I don't need a huge suv. This has been good on gas. And the blind spot monitoring system is amazing. But there are issues with comfort. There is nothing to rest your arm on except a tiny crappy arm rest which moves too much and is flimsy. And the passenger has nothing at all. The entire time I've had it, there is a terrible noise echo whenever 2 or more people are in the car. I believe it's the noise canceling system, funny enough. And the driver seat has to be manually moved to adjust the slant (only partially motorized). Finally the entertainment system is awful. It shuts down randomly for no obvious reason. I'm glad it's a lease because I wouldn't personally want to own this long term. Its been a solid car overall but I can't say I'd recommend It unfortunately.
Not really a "review" as much as a list of features/walk around. A review discusses the pros and cons. You should change the title of your video. Does the dealer pay you to do these?

Best deal in the segment and segments below it at just under US$20K.

Just bought one of these...I'm excited! Thanks for the review
How do you like it, after a year?

Hello,
My children❤️ purchased me one for Christmas and I love it!!🙏🏿💕🙏🏿
Thank you for sharing
Still feel the same?
Was given a blue 2018 with 8,000 miles. Haven't picked it up yet but I'm looking forward to it. Seems like a nice little compact for around town.
I just picked up a blue shirt one 38k miles though. You are going to love this thing ❤
@@anonanon3958 I like it. Drives smooth.

Uh, uh!
My wife has her eyes on one.
Can a 6'3" guy fit in this vehicle and be ok for 8 hours?
MY son is 6'2" and bulky and he does ok. I average 27 MPG in town and 34 on the road.
Nope this is for normal sized humans 👽
Got a 19' and I'm 6'2", it's comfy for me
I leased this car and about to end my lease. Should i buy it or return the lease?
Awesome car 🚗
This and the Trax I gotta say aren't the sharpest looking vehicles in the class. Would like to see a future video on the new Ford EcoSport.
Me too....
The ecosport is hideous!
Daryl Stokes Hideous when compared to vehicles like the Encore and the Trax? Are you serious 😂 I’m dead.
Yes I am dead serious. The Trax and the Encore are actually nice looking in my opinion. Fords are just downright ugly.

What are you the review police?
Doesn't it have side mirrors heater? How can turn up the music base? How can you use the GPS with out car internet?
I stopped watching at “Halogen Headlights” 😒
You’re videos are getting shorter than normal.Too bad you spend the time as you did in the past on your reviews.
I noticed there was no demo of putting the rear seats down for extra cargo room.. Main reason I just bought this vehicle.
First😂
I like the look but i like the chrome grill alot better looks more rich if I must say lol 🤌
