Montgomery is that type of player that everybody knows he will be good in the NFL, yet he’ll still get drafted in rounds 2-3 and in a couple of years when he’s in the pro bowl, everyone will be wondering why he went so late.
He’s slow AF and obviously has a weight problem 🤷♂️ he’s not going to be great. He’ll be average at most.

Herbert Kitchener yea but even on the tape Kareem Hunt looked fast. Montgomery looks slow on the 40 and tape, everything else about him is pretty good though
Herbert Kitchener he is pretty slow so he won’t be making those home runs, but he’ll be pretty good, sort of reminds me of a slightly faster Jordan Howard with better elusiveness and balance.
We don’t need him to be super fast. Goal is to pick up consistent yards to keep the clock running and picking up 1st downs. Not home runs every damn time he touches the ball.

Sojourn RnR Lol 1.Check the tape Henderson isn’t shifty runs too high, doesn’t switch the ball to his outside hand and has poor vision. He only uses his speed. Which works in college, especially the small division he played but doesn’t work in the NFL when everyone is fast. In the NFL he’s gonna need a things handed to him for things to happen;when he gets into open space he’s nice yea, but can he create open space⁉️Nah, David Montgomery is. He’s one of if the most shiftiest back in this draft has hands like a WR(He’s coach said he had better hands than N’Keal Harry) and is great on 10 yard splits. He may not be the fastest but he uses his other traits to get home runs
2. The Bears would’ve went far if they made a field goal and I guarantee you they would’ve scored more than 3😂We’d already played the Patriots and had a shootout, with a defense ready for revenge and a offense prepared it wouldn’t have been as boring.

It’s aight man, remember Jeremy hills speed was a bit slower than that at the combine but his rookie year he was top 5 in the league with over 1000 yards with a good oline. I think David is better than Hill too, so if David has a decent or good o line he’ll do good regardless. He makes quick moves , so he avoids tackles and he runs through hits cuz he’s pretty big.
Also finishes with power and natural hands as a receiver.

@@RyanRediger66 yes this is true. Tarik is our home run hitter...we have stacked RB room now! Montgomery is at least a 2 down back, maybe even 3 down back if he earns it....this kid broke more tackles than any other RB in all of college football last year. 99 broken tackles!!! Mike Davis is a good short yardage back, Tarik on passing downs or option plays, and David Montgomery when we wanna do a little of everything
He doesn’t have the long speed which is why he was available in the 3rd round. But he is perfect for what Nagy wants to do.
