exactly. Players take time to develop. Competition and talent is how you stack a team to contend. When you have done it right, even the guys you cut will be great players, because those you don't are legendary.

Slow 40 and agility drills. But how'd he do in the contact balance drill? How about the yards after contact drill? Exactly. The combine is only a tool to get baseline measurables and interview the rookies. This guy knows how to play running back. At any level. He's going to be a good one. Dion Lewis clone with more power.

J Dxvx His speed is definitely not at Shady’s level, but the comparison is based on IF he reaches his full potential in the NFL. Obviously, it isn’t fair to say that any RB coming out of college is on the level of either of guy like Shady or Bell. However, the skillsets you could say, are similar, even if they aren’t at the same level yet as those guys.
@J Dxvx Same, I also watched Shady a lot as an Eagle. Though I'll admit I'm not as knowledgeable on non-Eagle players or college players, for that matter so I only go by what I know and see. Still, I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on Singletary in the later rounds, if we don't select a RB in the first two rounds.

I wouldn’t use anything earlier than a late 4th rd pick to draft him. He’s hard to grade because he played in a very weak conference, the jump in the level of competition to the NFL is gonna be huge. Typically the succesful backs from smaller schools are the ones with freakish athletic attributes which Singletary lacks.

The bears are definitely interested which is confusing to me, he's not going to be better than Howard and I dont see a single play of him catching the ball which was Chicago's hang up with keeping howard.

he looks to me like he has the patience, vision, and stop/start ability of Leveon Bell, and the cut on a dime ability of LeSean McCoy. Obviously he's far from either of those elite backs but tat's who he reminds me of as an NFL comparison
This kid could be legit #1 back, but doesn't have to with Shady & Gore. He can help keep them to 10-15 carries a game, which is ideal for them at this point in their careers

He's a VERY "leggy" runner which you don't see succeeding at the NFL level often. Last player I can remember was someone like Arian Foster. There's been many many leggy style runners drafted since that time and they've all failed.
