Hi, Aww thanks you so much, very kind of you to say so! It's one of my passion to make the most lush, bushy with large SOH leaves as possible. I just love the look of a casade of heart leaves. Thank you so much for your comment, it really made my day! Happy SOH Gardening ❤️
Great video! These were such a struggle for me years ago when I first started growing these. Everyone scared me with saying no direct sun but I ended up leaving one in sun by mistake and found out they love morning sun and decline rapidly without it. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Stacey, Thanks for your sharing your gardening experience. Completely agree with you. This type of plant needs more light then then expected! Thanks for watching and your support! Happy String of Hearts Gardening ❤️

Hi Teresa, Thank for sharing your gardening experience. That is also awesome you do the same as well ! Thank you for watching the content and supporting the channel. Happy String of Hearts Gardening ❤️
Thank you for this video!. Could you please tell me how you water your string of hearts that is very top heavy with leaves (the second SOH plant that you mentioned in your video)? if I water from the top I am afraid that I will cause rot. I think that is what happened with my first SOH. It ended up rotting. It was very top heavy and I just watered it thoroughly on top.
Hi Samy, Thanks for your good question and commenting. SOH can be bottom watered. Place the plant in a container filled with water and leave for 1-2 hours. Leave the plant out for the excess water to drain completely. Happy SOH Gardening ❤️
Hi Ufarazuwasti, Yah!! That is awesome and thanks for sharing feedback on the tip. I find this technique works on any plants that need some extra humidity or warmth to grow faster. I have never tried it on the plants you mention but l can't see any resaon why it shouldn't work. Maybe give it a go and see? Thanks for watching the content and your support. Happy Gardening ❤️
Hi Tigrezz, Great question. It's a plastic hanging pot which use to have a different plant in it and l just recycled the pot. I have seen similar ones at Bunnings in Australia but if you live outside of Australia then l am not sure. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel. Happy String of Hearts Gardening ❤️
Hi Silvia, Thanks for watching the video. Yes, l do have a video on the channel about Calisia Repens care ( otherwise known as Pink Panther) .Happy Gardening! ❤️
Any ideas why entire strands of leaves would keep shriveling up? I'm keeping up with watering and it's getting a fair amount of sun in a south facing window, even on the top of the pot.
Hi, Hmm that's unusual. I would suggest you check the rots for root rot. If there is alot of strands occurring then it's also good to propagate and start fresh again. Happy String of Hearts Gardening ❤️
@oOOoOphidian Yes,a great idea! Sometimes the nursery soil contains moss or grass compose which will hold to much water or soil stays moist for too long. Happy Gardening ❤️
Same! I will have healthy leaves thick plump and then suddenly they’ll shrivel and fall off! I’m doing everything I’ve read or has been suggested, it’s the strangest thing!
@@brookecardwell2288 for me it was that the plant needed a smaller pot than the nursery sold it in. It also had a powery mildew issue and spraying with copper fungicide helped that too.
I just replanted it, and it's in a bigger pot than it used to be (I only read about how I should be careful with that later because of the size of the roots are not necessarily in connection with the size of the plant rookie mistake) and already watered is twice, the soil is moist, but I can still see the leaves curling up... Why is that happening?
Hi, That's an interesting question. It could be that the plant is understrength from the repotting. I would use a clear plastic wrap to partially cover the top of the plant to give boost of warmth and humidity . Hope that helps. Thanks for watching and commenting. @@PlantNationMinh Thank you! I just found a huge plant from one of my favorite vendors on Etsy. Perhaps purchasing cuttings was the problem. I will do a tiny cutting and try it again. I am almost two years into the game so maybe I can get it right. I will try it in Fluval Stratum as I have had incredible success with that when propagating. It saved my constellation and Albo. Thanks!
Hi Goldfishewishes, Sorry to hear that your string of hearts isn't Growing at all. If it been a while l suggest repot it and move to area with more light and warmth. If that doesn't maybe restart by propagating the plant. Thanks for watching and your support. Happy String of Hearts Gardening ❤️
I bought a cutting from Etsy and it straight up died!! I waited to water when the soil was dry. Unfortunately all my windows are north facing and even tho I left it at the window, it didn’t work :( I’ll wait until I move to another place so I can try again…
Hi Thanks for sharing your issue with String of Hearts Propagation. When it's comes to a cutting that has no roots it's different to a fully mature plant. The soil needs to stay moist for a couple of weeks before going to the care of leaving the soil to dry and then watering.
