I can't believe the Drytron player kept searching/drawing after you milled him half his deck and gained 50k lp. unless he could pull out a massive Borralsword outta nowhere, he was better off just summoning the mini drytrons for some extra 2k bodies. This deck would be fun to play against. My barrel dragon / jinzo deck might have a shot compared to the drytron, tribrigade, soulsword, despia, VW, and skull servants I always see and nothing else..
Yeah, the reason I went with Mars was because Saturn requires a sac. I believe there was a way to get that sac ready for her, but it would have taken another turn to do so and so I wanted to end it on that turn with Mars. Plus, This deck usually wins with Saturn as effect damage is much easier to pull off than battle damage, so doing battle damage to end this was a pleasure.

Almost everything was placed in defense. I think he was going for using Herald to stop everything I did with the huge hand I had and then go for the win on the next turn. Fortunately here I was able to burn all of his ammo for Herald and build my life. This was definitely a really lucky duel on my part, no doubt, but that's also the reason I saved it and made a video out of it. These kinda of duels is why I play the game. I'm by no means a competitive duelist, obviously. I play purely for these crazy interesting duels. A lot of the time I have to play 50 matches to get a really cool duel, but it's always worth it when it finally happens and that's what I love about the game.
@@nitrous146 By the time that the Borreload Dragon came down the Harald had no ammo to ditch for the effect, the last monster summoned by the Drytron player was a 0/1800 handtrap, and it was kind of obvious that they had no more fairies when they used Harald as one of the link materials. Why give up your omninegate unless you can't pay the omninegatge.
Uh bro? Old YuGiOh had Hand Control as a legal deck. Not only did old YuGiOh have some of the longest recursion loops in history (resetting your whole deck and hard drawing through it just to reset a single ritual summon, then repeating this multiple times in the same turn), many of them resulted in your opponent removing every card from your hand before your first turn even started (Delinquent Duo, Confiscation, and Forceful Sentry were all in one of the first sets ever printed, and were not banned until months after Chaos Emperor Dragon was printed much later). Modern YuGiOh has problems but unlike the old game there's the possibility of drawing an out, contrasting when going first was equivalent to winning. Even back in Summoned Skull meta going first was an unequivocal advantage because it gave you the first battle phase on a turn when a tribute summon was possible, letting you run over any tribute material your opponent had and preventing them from getting their own Summoned Skull out.
it's been 2 years so its kinda pointless to say but d fissure, d shifter, macro cosmos, etc all shut down herald of ultimateness and herald of perfection because their affects say to "send a fairy monster from your hand to the GY"
