I have been listening to David Bowie since I was a teenager and Labyrinth is my favorite movie! And I have shared it with my daughters and granddaughters! It’s timeless! And so is David Bowie!
This film is the same age as me, so I litterally grew up with it. It captured my imagination, made me love art, film, music and a passion for the incredible arts of the puppeteer, dancing, costume and makeup design. And above all, as I got a little older...I started thinking funny thoughts about boys thanks to David Bowie. And I know I'm not alone. xD God, I'll miss him. Jim Henson, as well, and many other of my favorite icons that are no longer with us. Let us hold onto their memories with joy, and thanks to their films and music, they''ll NEVER die.
+SunBunz David Bowie as the Goblin King had that weird mix of being attractive while creepy at the same time. It is rare to see that nowadays, usually it is just creepy guys (real life too!). Movies like what he was in and The NeverEnding Story (1984) directed by Wolfgang Petersen, is what I think inspired a lot of people in theater.
He will be super missed by so many people from musical to cinematic fans and just people who are fans in general. i could not believe it when i saw the news post and swore it had to have been a stupid prank and found out i was poorly mistaken and it was not. Rest in peace as you sail through the stars for you are the Space Oddity
Labyrinth was one of the best movies of the 80s, and you perfectly caputured it's essence in this tribute video. Thank you. You brought a happy tear into my eye ... going to watch the movie again soon :)
Awesome, awesome tribute Sunbunz! Have to check out this movie now. I'm really getting hooked on his earlier stuff now like 'Aladdin Sane', 'Rock & Roll Suicide'. Fantastic music! It's crazy how MGS5 introduced me to 'The man who sold the world'. At first i was like, 'what the hell is this'?! But it really grew on me & then I found out it was Bowie & I started to listen to his earlier stuff & then he passed away. I was shocked & saddened but then I was appreciative of all the music he created & that I am just discovering & it's like..he's really not dead uknow. Ok, I'm rambling..shutting up now. B^)
This is absolutely fantastic! Such a brilliant tribute and so well put together. Amazing! Again, i first heard of Bowie through this very film and this is all I knew of him for a good decade and then heard his music, saw him in a few other films and thought how mutlitalented he was, but I will always know him like many of our generation, as The Goblin King. R.I.P
One of my favorite movies growing up. :) Back then I saw everything in life as that kind of setting as the movie including Return to Ozz, A Never Ending Story, A Princess Bride, and The secret Garden. Though the secret garden was a girl movie, I was forced to watch it, but then it grew on me after seen it so many times. :)
I was completely in love with Jennifer Connolly in this movie. She was the same age as I was when this movie came out. What ever became of her? I don't recall seeing her in any other big movies. I will have to look her up.
It's a show of a good movie when it has Jennifer Connelly in it, yet it's memorable for completely different reasons. I didn't really listen to his music (and I'm not going to become an express fan now) but I still admire what he's done for the music industry.
SunBunz I actually don't mind 80s films. I love 80s movies like Back To The Future, The Breakfast Club and Blade Runner. I heard great things about The Dark Crystal though from people 10 years older than me. :)
+Professor Art honestly, to me, the films of the 80s are a huge inspiration for me in almost everything. It was a magical time, where most of my first memories began, so I love pretty much everything to do with the 80s. lol I'm playing GTA Vice City for the first time right now & I'm all: SQUEEEEE!! xD
SunBunz haha Vice City was the first ever gta I played and I loved it. I had to beat the game without any cheat codes though. Those were some crazy times! But it was fun. Till this day I have no idea how to evade the police in that game with a six star wanted level without dying. lol
+Professor Art I don't even know if that's possible!!! lol oh, if you play PS4, all 3 Classic GTA games are on sale! Grab it, if you want. They have trophies too! I got GTA3, Vice City & San Andreas in a trilogy pack for under $18! They look good too! HD. :)
Is the only kind of girly movie.. no.. i got princess bride too in my childhood memory i liked it even am a big hairy man now hehe. Well i hit this channel randomly, but i will be back. I grow up on Jim Henson show, like the story teller, and farscape. Is all joy yes, and it still until now :)
I don't want to say what my native language is but this film in my native language is hilarious >_< sounds awful, I'm so glad I speak English, this is why classic films are superior to the modern trash we get now. Plus I had a big crush on Jennifer but I was so little I thought my parents would tell me off :( lol Rest in peace lovely David :(

Such An awesome performer! :) RIP David Bowie! You will always be remembered as the Goblin King and a performer none could match!
Watched this movie in the theater when I was a little kid. Great Bowie tribute.
Great tribute. He's everything you'd imagine the Goblin King to be. Sinister sexy. Make up & wardrobe nailed his look. RIP David.

This is beautiful, Sunny. Gettin' all choked up. Still cannot believe he is gone.
+Day Dreams As I edited this, I shed a few tears myself. This film and this man have a huge piece of my heart, and it broke when I heard the news.
SunBunz Same here. I think a large portion of the world's heart broke that day. So many greats lost...

Hehe yep! :D Those be the ones and more. :)
Nobody could rock eye shadow and still look manly like the Goblin King. R.I.P. David Bowie.
+0311apache Damn skippy.
0311apache David looks manly in this movie I love him sooooo much
A very Mystical Tribute Bunz
I never got to see the full movie, but I remenbered..
I was completely in love with Jennifer Connolly in this movie. She was the same age as I was when this movie came out. What ever became of her? I don't recall seeing her in any other big movies. I will have to look her up.
Didn't she win best supporting actress for A Beautiful Mind?
Yup. She’s been in TONS of movies.
It's a show of a good movie when it has Jennifer Connelly in it, yet it's memorable for completely different reasons. I didn't really listen to his music (and I'm not going to become an express fan now) but I still admire what he's done for the music industry.
+filip4900 Same. I love a few of his songs, but wasn't a regular listener, but this film made me love him.
OMG I just really really want some good Japanese studio to make an anime adaptation of Labyrinth! That would be sooooooo cool :)
Yeah! They have novels about it, maybe they can be based on those!
RIP David Bowie lead singer of Nirvana and dictator of the Brazilian Empire.
RIP David Bowie Died of liver cancer age 69 too young to die January 10, 2016

*sigh* Am I the only one around here that watched "Jim Henson's Creature Shop Challenge" but never watched this film? :''(
Aww it's ok! Check it out sometime! It's on Netflix. :D it's very 80s, but a classic indeed. The Dark Crystal's my favorite.
SunBunz I actually don't mind 80s films. I love 80s movies like Back To The Future, The Breakfast Club and Blade Runner. I heard great things about The Dark Crystal though from people 10 years older than me. :)

I adore everything Jim Henson too. :) The Dark Crystal is my absolute favorite.
2015 and 2016 are getting a lot of frags, huh... T_T
Where did you get the fabulous artwork?
+Bryan Shura Just browsed Google "fan art" for Labyrinth and Jareth. I think most of these are from DeviantArt. :)
You title looks like the dark Crystal qulplash font
